Any Viewpoints on AlertPay?

My web designer tells me to avoid AlertPay at all costs because it is too complicated for someone to pay by credit card. She states that if someone attempts to pay by cc, they need to have a phone authorization in order to process it. Is that true?

She claims I will lose a ton of sales.

The reason I am not turning to PayPal is they claim they do not accept any type of E-books or Membership sites.

Thanks for your help

I've used AlertPay for a couple of years and have never had a problem with them. It's awkward if the purchase price is over about $500, as that's all a non-member can pay without having to go through authorisation, but for lower ticket items it's fine.

One thing, make sure you have registered the actual website URLs you're going to use when ppl purchase, otherwise they will get a 'not authorised to accept credit card payments' message when they land on the payment page, and be forced to sign up as AlertPay members. You don't want that, most ppl won't. Pre-register the referring URLs with AlertPay though, and you won't have any problems.
