Article Backlinks to Your Blog or LP?

I've been debating this and just about to try out.

Every one of my article links in each article directory is pointed back to my blog. I have a pop up that comes up to capture emails, but it's only getting a 10% opt in rate.

The reason I had the article links pointing back was for back link juice to rise up in the search engines.

But now I'm thinking if I just make these links pointing to a highly optimized LP then my list building efforts most likely would be increased, BUT I won't be getting the link juice to my blog.

What are your guys thoughts on this and if you have used this before. What were your results?

copy this guy, he is rich and seems to know what he is doing.

While your interpretation of a landing page and mine might be different, the example site I gave you does take advantage of both approaches.

Most article directories allow you to have two links in your resource box. Point one to your landing page, and the other to your blog.
