Craigslist idea (black hat?)...

If you buy a track phone (pay as you go) for $30 at wal-mart, you get 300 mins free (which means the phone itself is basically free).

When you first register your phone, they ask you what zip code you will be in most of the time. The they give you a phone # in that zip code (in that AREA CODE).

That has the effect of suddenly making you "LOCAL" in any market you choose.

So, you can put your ("local") phone # in your craigslist ad, even if you really live somewhere else entirely.

I don't use this idea myself, but I thought someone out there might find this 'technique' useful, perhaps.

      I think Craigslist does not accept VOIP.

      I also don't want to help out Nigerian scammers, but it always amazes me when I see questions on these forums about how to get a U.S. bank account or a U.S. debit card or a U.S. address or a U.S. telephone number. All are very available.
