I submitted my site to DMOZ about 3 weeks ago and I know that's not enough time to get listed but if I don't see a listing in how long should I submit it again?

  • From all that I've read, DMOZ is a luxury that you simply cannot force. I know it's not too much help to you, but every time I see this subject come up, the consensus seems to be to submit and forget. If you are set on re-submitting I think a 4-6 month delay is fair without seeming over-zealous, but it is hard to tell b/c much depends on the category submitted and the particular admins in charge of it. Not to mention the DMOZ conspiracy theories about the admins there/etc. Hard to say. I should be an admin Good luck!

  • Yea DMOZ takes forever...

I would try to find and purchase a domain with a dmoz link already and forward it to my domain.
  • I think it depends on the niche. For long term authority sites it is a big plus. I have a site I plan to submit once I do a little more tweaking. There is a forum for DMOZ that might help with your question about how long to wait Resource-Zone

  • I really think DMOZ editors are people with too much time on their hands. UGH. Could you even imagine doing that?
