Clickbank questions for issues I'm experiencing

Hey everyone,

I'm new here and sort of new at affiliate marketing. Well I've been doing it now for a year or so. Recently a product that I was promoting started skyrocketing and was making me some good cash which was better than ever in the last year or so. The month of October was quite excellent for me! But unfortunately since Monday there have not been a single commission made. The visitors are there to my site, the hops are showing some activity and actually the activity has way increased since I've been promoting the heck out of this product with articles that I've written at various places like Ezine, Hubpages, ArticleBase and even several squidoo pages. I even have myspace, facebook, twitter, linkedin and youtube all pointing back to my site. The keyword brings up my site at 3 or 4 places down on google. So I've been doing pretty great so far but for some reason I'm not making any commissions. It just dropped like someone pulled the plug on me just like that. It feels quite odd to go from doing great to nothing.

Is there any explanation as to what's happened? I've read so much stuff on here that it's all making me really confused and to the point to give up on all this affiliate marketing. It's just not explainable.

I've read things on here about clickbank not accepting paypal. I've also read that it's become really difficult to purchase products through clickbank using a credit card. I've also read about trends. This kind of explains to me but to go from making 3 or so sales a day to complete zero just doesn't make sense. I've also read about cloaking my hop links which I've downloaded a software program to help with. I've read about changing my clickbank user and it's fixed the problem for some folks. I've read a whole lot more stuff but what is it really?

Does clickbank cheat folks out of commissions? Is someone stealing my sales? Is it really a trend where folks just stop purchasing a product? In fact I'm not sure that's what it is the product does quite well and it's not an ebook or anything like that it's software so I know the market is there and it shows from the visitors to my site but what's going on?

Someone that can help with my questions would be great. Also is there someplace to get this kind of information that's all detailed out? I'm really new and learning more and more but it's a lot of stuff.
