How Do You Figure Out the Value of a Visitor to Your Website?

Hi:
I have a website [www.BargainBookMole.com] that finds the lowest priced books online [we guaranteed to find the lowest price or your book is on us & have free browser add-ons for Firefox and Internet Explorer that make price checking extra fast/easy]and make money from affiliate fees from the bookselling sites. As you can imagine we need to get a fair bit of traffic to make decent money [the site is only a couple months old, but so far made ~$100 per month and put thousands into developing it]. But key to figuring out how to make the site pay is figuring out the value of a customer/visitor. But I'm not sure how to do that. It's easy enough to figure out on a monthly basis that I'm getting 1500 visitors and making $100, but I assume some of these customers will be repeat visitors/users, so not sure what the value would be.
Any ideas how I'd figure that out so then I can figure out how much to spend on marketing?
thanks,

I would look on the type of books you are selling and focus on that niche.

Do you have a list of customers?

You have to be able to track each customer and their purchases. Without that, you only have a "visitor" value.

Try to track each customer, find out what each spends than do the math. how much is spent divided by how many actal customers. Otherwise you only have estimates.

    or...

"The estimated value of each customer is_____"
    Signature

Ask all the questions you want, but in the end they will all be answered by just doing it!... Get to work!
