3 tough questions for everyone ... would love to get your responses.

I believe it'll make for an interesting thread for all to study and learn.

Ok, here are your THREE questions:

1) If you could ONLY do 10 activities (list building, traffic getting, product development) in your IM business, what would they be? In other words, where do you believe your time is best invested in your business?

narrowing...

2) If you could ONLY do 3 activities (list building, traffic getting, product development) in your IM business, what would they be? In other words, where do you believe your time is best invested in your business?

narrowing further...

3) If you could ONLY do 1 activity (list building, traffic getting, product development) in your IM business, what would it be? In other words, where do you believe your time is best invested in your business?

Now, FIRE AWAY... love to see the feedback.

    • You hit the nail on the head...

I'm best at writing - sales letters, articles,
press releases...and I put most of my energy
      there.

    • Hey James,

Good use of the video ... love that.

      So, "TALKING" huh? :-)

Kinda funny, everyone talks about IM -- technology, etc.

But, building the business comes down to "Interpersonal Skills" -- at least for you.

      Neat.

      Keep 'em coming guys.

    • All 3 are essential elements, so I'd make time for all 3.

Outsource what you cannot do, and focus on the others.

      Pretty simple really.

  • great video. copy uhhh. that is what I need to work on...
  • You summed it up list building is first and foremost

But you need the targeted traffic to build your list and make money.

So I would say driving targeted traffic is the most important followed by listbuilding.

Try to outsource the tedious tasks as much as possible building backlinks etc...
  • Link building is the best time investment for me. As it brings more traffic to my site and makes me income
  • I would do thing that could generate more money .
  • I first narrowed it down to 3 activities (product creation, networking and copywriting), and if I had to choose from the 3 I ultimately would have to choose product creation.

    • You need GOOD sales copy.

      You need GOOD traffic.

      You need GOOD list.

      You need GOOD offer.

That is the order I follow, and it WORKS for me. I can imagine
it would work for anyone who followed it. But yea...it only took
2-3 years to figure it out.
  • Nice post, yes there are so many answers, yet so little time, I believe the single most important thing is to grow in your IM journey until you "see" the light so to speak, often that may mean working for other people in the form of affiliate opps but eventually what you will gravitate to is the generation and marketing of an actual product or services provided to marketers.

Since everyone cannot generate a product in 30 min or less as some popular self anointed Gurus have recently begun to sell to some unaware newer IM marketers.

Successful product generation takes time and effort, and some rather thoughtful planning,)

    Great topic,
  • I will focus on 1 goal everyday....Build a HUGE list...

Then I will build my daily task around it. I will choose 3 of these to work on every day.

    - Article Marketing (outsource)
    - PPC (measure and manage costs and keywords)
    - Arrange Adswaps
    - Arrange Solo Ads. That include my WSO here
    - Yahoo Answers
    - Link building (Outsource)
    - SEO

Short of that learning how to outsource and how to train and manage your team.
