Has there been a WSO telling People to conact other members on Skype?

I have been on skype for a couple of years, and have a random request here or there, but I have received about 10 skype requests from Warrior Forum members in the past week.

I am curious as to why the sudden influx of members wanting to connect with me all of a sudden. It doesnt seem natural.

Since this OP made this post, I'm going to assume that there has always been the skype button in his contact button and his point is that Warriors have being contacting him much more as of late.

I have had my skype contact on my profile for 2 years and have one or two people a month contact me at most. It is just odd at the sudden influx, and I havent posted here in weeks.

It's a new trend I'm guessing, ADD EVERYONE ON SKYPE!... I have a feeling though, someone's sending people here for that reason.. You would think only a couple people would experience. This wide-spread means someone big is saying "GO SKYPE EVERYONE".

Are these forum names you recognize - or all new members?

With limitations on PM's and spammy posts quickly deleted - could just be an influx of new members using any contact info they can find. That's why I limit my contact info

You're not alone. I've had 12 in the last 5 days and I usually get no more than 1-2 per month over the last year or so. Something's up for sure.

How are the sales? You would probably knock it out of the park if you launched one titled "Avenue Girl's Home Phone Number and Address - Come See Me for Personal Tutoring".

I rarely go on skype. I only go if someone has contacted me via other means and has set an appointment to do so.

Chris... The kind of people that add me from the Warrior Forum, won't call me ever.. The daredevils that do, usually get my cell phone answering machine, since I don't answer skype calls unless, it's been pre arranged... So, it doesn't really matter...

The people who add me are usually like this....

    "Hi Caleb,

    I want to make money.".

But, seriously.... I've really noticed it going up as well. Another thing that I've noticed is that if you post a thread asking something specific, it can add up..

What I mean is once I asked "Where to get outsourcers?".. That night I got 10+ PM's, like 20 adds on skype, and people find the thread today, and still add me... Grr...

And some people recommend teens go to me for legal advice, and so I get adds about that {I'm not a lawyer, and half the time I have to call someone to find out my own stuff..}.

Not sure, but I'm seldom on Skype these days, even so, I've noticed a noticeable increase in cold contacts.

I don't really understand the point of having your skype info on here unless you want contacted.

If all your skype calls are prearranged then you can give those people your skype info when you arrange the call.

Personally, I have no interest in getting random calls from people I don't know. I value my time too much and phone calls are a time suck.

I got few of them too...

2 of them were really funny...

The first added me on Skype to ask me about a thread that's has been closed a year ago, a thread I have no relation with, I didn't post on it and I didn't even read it before...it was a thread on which some guy offered a CPA coaching...

The Skype guy asked me a direct question: "Did He Give?"

After a little investigation, I discovered that he was asking if this guy did already delivered the promised coaching...!!!!!!!:confused::confused:

The second one saw a post on mine on a Warriors for Hire thread where I asked the thread creator something about content creation...

The Skype intruder offered me a generous content creation service (he had his unforgettable lesson instantly)

I'm sure it has something to do with the Interview Profits webinar that Dean Hunt put on last week. I can't remember the exact title right now, but I remember it had Skype in it.

Of course, he didn't suggest people go out and start randomly sending friend request to anyone ... but who listens these days? lol

    You know...

Some people noticed an influx of Interview Requests... Jason Fladlien advised people in producteclass to find experts via the WF to interview... .

If skype becomes a pain why not just create a new skype account and run the 2 on same PC?

I just posted the following, although on first view you may think its unrelated but if you read you will see that it advises how to add muliple accounts/IDs.
