Serious Increase In Crap..

Over the past few months there seems to have been a serious increase in crappy hyped up Internet Marketing products, I've bought a couple out of pure interest and pretty much grabbed a refund straight after...

Anyone else agree with me here or is it just me? lol

just guess but imagine that the amount of those attempting to be bloggers/IM'er's.. who invest money in a product, and who then make their investment back is between 2 and 25%...

It's just people, who are barely able to function as an effective employee somewhere, translating their stellar work ethic into creating their own product and running their own business.

Andrew Hansen just sent a great email on this subject, he went to a London IM convention and watched newbies left and right falling for presentations from "GURU'S" who sell crap that they never will use, and does not work. I Need Your Help This Time This is the link to that post, , its a sad statement on the rehash crap industry being pumped out.

I don't know; I've stopped buying stuff. I suspect that if a person is at the point where they can identify crap products or rehashed products as such, they have enough knowledge to quit buying stuff and just get on with making some money.

Internet marketing is not about 'buying' things for your own use, epecially "crappy hyped up Internet Marketing products". It's about 'selling' yours or someone else's products, your skills, or your traffic in return for money.

I've bought a couple out of pure interest and pretty much grabbed a refund straight after...
Not a good recipe for success...

Concentrate a bit more on the real tasks at hand and forget about being guru fodder for a change. Yea, there's crap products out there, but if you don't go looking for them you won't find them. And then you won't need to pay the high price of distraction, which btw, has no refund availible.

ummmm... ever heard of a recession? Sales are down, so of course they're pumping their crap on us.

Yeah definitely, but no matter what you're doing and how much your making if some guru tells you you can make $xx,xxx in 24 hours using this never before seen method etc then it often sparks some interest, although I never believe it It does make me want to know what he's going on about.

I've actually unsubscribed from pretty much every list now so I can concentrate on my business and not get sidetracked by spammy emails :-)

No, things are NOT getting worse.

The only thing that's changed is your perception; you are only more aware of what's out there. Nothing wrong with that of course, and it can appear to be very real to the observer.

In fact, I would be so bold as to suggest things are getting better overall. Why? Because more people are familiar with IM than ever before. That's not to say there isn't crap out there, but that it may be a slightly higher level of crap; at least in relation to crappy products.

On the other hand, it could be that so many more people are "trying this IM thing" and pumping out more products that there ARE more products out there. But as a percentage, my guess is that the crap is about the same as it always has been.

As for getting refunds right away? Good for you! That's exactly what you should be doing. I wouldn't accuse you of being a serial refunder if the stuff you bought was that bad. Maybe, just maybe, a serial buyer who needs to look at sales pages with a more critical eye, but not a serial refunder.

    All the best,
    Michael

Well, in my opinion everything has a cause. What would be the cause for this? Let's think a bit. Take a newbie internet marketer, he doesn't know much... what does he do? he starts reading reports and techniques for months but doesn't take action...

Then one day he reads that the easiest way to make real money is to ... TADA... create a product... then he thinks about all those guides he just read and thinks "Hey I can create a killer product right now and get rich!! Yay" then he does that, invents some figures (he actually didn't make a single dime online) and hopes for people to buy it, when for his surprise, many people buy it because they believe what he claims.

Sorry, but this is the truth...

And no, as some might think, I'm not one of those guys, I haven't created a product just yet.. not until I find something really worth it (which can be pretty soon, but it won't be a product, just a website)

If there's no one buying those crappy stuffs, the seller won't be making any money and they won't want to come out with another stuff which is going to promise us the sun and the moon.

So I think buyers has the responsibility too, in terms of buying stuffs. Why buying a glittering product here and day?

Buyers should learn to build a solid business with a strong funnels behind their front-end products.

    That's just my humble opinion.

I am a new bee and while spending just a couple of days, I came to know so many things.

Please no Offense or Hard Feelings, Just an observation.
1: A person selling something with only One Page and that page is normally available for sale on some website Buy and Sale after a while.
Come on Buyers, This is your responsibility to identify the real people and Scammers.

2: Lust of easy money making is what kills the new bee.

3: I must congratulate and appreciate those Marketer's, With just a page they earn alot and yes they are right. Earn 1000$/Day and they are doing it. (Bravo). They are not lying to you. They are making that by selling crap to you.

4: Please there is no short cut in life...

I don't plan on dumping 'crap' on folks to earn a quick buck. I can make 100 times more money by creating real value to those who are smart enough to act on it.

I would say buying a product out of curiosity and then requesting a refund is not a good thing to do. If you are going to make a conscious decision to buy a product out of curiosity you need to take ownership of the fact that the money you spent was disposable.

You did not buy based on value, so it is weird to say that you refunded because of value.

Anyway, I believe in refunds and and giving no questions asked refunds. I have actually requested refunds before. So, it is not bad to ask for a refund, but I do think it is bad to ask for a refund of a product you bought out of curiosity. It would be different if you said you bought based on the value you thought you would receive. But that's not the case.

Yes for sure everyone is turning to the net to make some cash in the current economical climate and yes there are more and more trashy looking products out there.

Also even the site that look prof and some of the top gurus are resorting to selling trashy products which i find really hard to believe but it's true.

Also there are the select few who are serial refunders which makes me laugh as there's not much you can do to stop them using your software unless it's a sort of sub based product.

eBooks, eBooks eBooks i've seen soo many that i'll be suprised if i've not seen them all and some of the material i wouldn't wipe my ar5e with

As a general rule of thumb you should fact check anyone who claims to be a guru regardless of how large their following is. The more read into em' the larger the holes in their plots become. There are some good ones out there, but most build up followings for a nefarious reasons.

Mark, this is a sign that you're growing in your IM knowledge.
You have probably learned a lot of what's already in those books and, therefore, understand that these are geared towards newbies who don't know a thing yet.

This happened to me several years ago. I used to purchase stuff from many big IM gurus, and spent a pretty penny too***LOL***but began to realize that their information wasn't getting me any closer to earning real money.

This is when I started thinking a lot more critically about what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it. I decided to only purchase information that could help me get better at a specific method or strategy that I was already working on.

If you keep chasing every new system that comes out, you'll get no where fast.

    Blah blah blah.

Nothing else to do so I should just go to warrior forum to trash IM products.

C'mon guys how many more of these "IM is filling up with crappy products" treads do we need?

I can swear that I have seen about 5 of these in the last 1 week.

    OP - read:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/mind-war...unt-until.html

And as stated above, WHY do we need yet another thread bashing the IM niche???

    Rob

EDIT: I'm getting so damn sick of seeing these. I'm reporting every single one I see. They don't help anyone make money (which is the point of the forum) and they just clutter things up with rampant negativity.

Absolutely! Me too, I report these also so at the very least they're moved to the off-topic forum.

The main forum is where we talk about making money and our business. Off topic should be home of the rant, complaint, whine, my 1,000 post, etc.
