I Need An "Aweber" But More Flexible?

Hey everyone,

Do you guys know any other services like Aweber which offer a more flexible "customer contact system"?

For example, I have lists of people who regularly reply to my emails I send out, and I'm currently manually replying through my GMail account. Is there any way I can set it up so these people get put into their own list / group and then sent an automated set of replies / followups to them without having to get them to double-opt in again?

There are a number of other thigns like being able to transfer people between lists (which Aweber does not allow), automatically adding them to ther lists without having to double opt-in again and storing their address details for further marketing

I've been looking for some time, but can't seem to find anything.

Thanks!

Not sure which cater to your specifics but there's some leads for you.
      Thanks Norb (I'm on DP)

I actually looked at VerticleResponse and it seems to be more like what I'm after - it integrates into SalesForce.com for more of an integrated marketing approach. This might work!!

      Thanks

One option is iContact as their system is pretty simple
and they allow you to import lists without requiring your
    subscribers to re-confirm their opt-in.

    Here they are:

Email Marketing - iContact (no affil.)

You can easily move people from one list to another at
    the click of a button.

I've been using them for certain lists for a while now and
they're pretty reliable and their interface is neat too - once
you know your way around it.

Plus they've got an API if you need to do more sophisticated
    stuff later.

Hey thanks for the replies everyone!

I don't really want another autoresponder... I need something with more meat on the bones in terms of being able to contact my customers, clients and affiliates. Obviously I need the autoresponder features, but I'd also like a lot more functionality to individually email people, organize sales calls and the rest of it.

I think I really need a cross between a CRM and an autoresponder (if that exists?)

In that case, another option is Infusionsoft:

Marketing Automation for Small Business | Infusionsoft (no affil.)

They'll let you import your lists without reconfirming too.

Plus, they're more of a true CRM where they'll track all
your interactions with subscribers, vendors, affiliates,
      etc.

It can also manage your affiliate program, shopping cart
and autoresponders as well as monitoring how people move
through your sales funnel and the performance of your sales
      team.

They've got a plugin for Outlook that allows you to link your
individual e-mail exchanges so that the subscriber contact
record is updated with the communications.

Infusionsoft has a bit of a learning curve but it's a powerful
      system.

I have been using iContact for a few weeks after using Aweber for years... (I still use Aweber).

iContact has been easy to use and allows me to import data, email addresses, etc., without opt-ins. However, for what you are doing it might be wise to go with what Shaun is talking about... Infusionsoft.

    Cheers,

    Millard
