$200/day Article Marketing Strategy (maybe)

Be warned, excessive work is involved in this strategy so those of you that don't take action need not apply.

Sometime last week, I was sitting on the computer (it was warm) and I was staring at a picture of the car that I plan on buying when I have about $40,000 sitting around. Then I thought to myself; in order to have $40,000 sitting around, I must MAKE $40,000!!! And to MAKE $40,000, I must have a solid plan and I must work my butt off... So I came up with a solid plan and I am now working my butt off
I want to be pulling in at least $200 per day within 3 months and I believe that I will be seeing much much larger amounts within 6 months if I stick to this plan. Tell me what you think about the plan, and feel free to go out and do it yourself!

Website

  • Get a domain and shared hosting, the domain will be like $5 and the hosting will be $5-$15 per month. This is the only cost involved in this strategy.
  • Set up Wordpress on the site. Personally, I integrated Wordpress into my existing site layout because I wanted an original theme, but I really don't expect anyone else to do that because it's a pain in the butt and you have to be familiar with code. Find a good theme and you should be fine. (if you do want to integrate, PM me and I'll walk you through it)

Traffic

  • Write. Alot. This is the backbone of this strategy. My daily goal is 5 QUALITY and ORIGINAL articles per day. This takes a lot of time, but in the end it will be worth it. I am writing about pretty much anything that comes to my head and separating subjects via categories on the Wordpress blog, but if you can write 5 articles everyday about one specific subject, then more power to you. 5 articles per day is 150 articles in a month. That can convert into some serious traffic. Get a good article submitter (I recommend article submission helper) that can submit your articles to multiple directories all at onceSimply put: Write 5 original articles per day, post them on the blog, and then submit to directories.
  • Get a Yahoo ID if you don't already have one and head on over to Yahoo Answers and try to answer 5 questions everyday and make sure that you leave the link to your website as a source. As Google indexes these answers they can become a good traffic source.
  • Turn your best articles into scripts and read them out loud from a powerpoint to make quick videos. Also, you can just record yourself (face included, not just voice) and present the article in that manner to add a more personal touch.
Money!

Now that you've got the traffic, it's time to get paid!
  • Sign-up with Aweber or some other autoresponder service and place a static email opt-in form on your website. Write a report over something and offer it as an incentive to get people to opt-in. Monetize the list by pitching digital products AFTER you have provided your list with real value. Treat your list better then you'd like to be treated.
  • Sign-up with a CPA network and place relevant CPA ads after blog posts.
  • Do weekly or monthly amazon or clickbank product reviews on your blog.
  • Place a few adsense ads on your site as icing on the cake

Fin.

That's the strategy in a nutshell. I could write a page or more for each bullet point but reading all of that would make your eyeballs fall out so I will spare you the pain.
Tell me what you think.

Power to you for having a plan James.

Obviously you will need to go deeper into keyword and market research to make sure you are monetizing the right products for the right markets. Also make sure what you are writing will get a decent amount of traffic.

Decent research will save you from doing all the bone crunching work to find out you get stuff all traffic or conversions.

I like to have a single blog for a single keyword in a single niche so I'm not sure that writing on different topics for the one blog will cut it. BUT, I have been wrong before.

    Good luck.

I'm thinking about setting up multiple blogs on one site to deal with different subjects rather then using categories. I haven't really seen it done before but that isn't going to stop me.

if you are using a blog and seo'ed articles remember to piggy back of hot items. i have been using this for about 3 months now and it is working a treat..

EA are a bit iffy with this and the content sometimes, but it seems to work better and index better on the blogs I have.

Slow down a bit on posting the articles to your blog and then turning right around and posting them to EA and the other directories.

I think you want to get your own article indexed first and backlinked before you send it to the directories. You never want a directory to outrank you for your own article. Otherwise the traffic will go there and then some of them might come to your website. Take care of your home site first. Then submit.

Do you have to make a different version for each directory? Or can I post the same article everywhere?

The strategy looks pretty solid to me and if you can really manage to stick to it, it will definitely get you some great results.

One more thing that I'd like to point out is that if you intend to promote affiliate links or CPA offers through the website, you should consider not putting in any AdSense links.

If you want your visitors to convert to buyers, you need them to stay on your website and not move away from it. That's precisely what AdSense is going to do.

Good job mate. That sounds like a solid plan definitely gonna work.

About writing articles, I'd rather say you don't waste all your energy writing 150 articles each money for just 1 niche. Instead, spread it around. 3 niches x 50 articles each x 3 domains = More Money, More commission & More Experience.

I'm not asking to you divert from your plan, please don't mistake. It's just a suggestion.

You'll know what converts and what does not once you start getting ranked. Leave those that won't convert. Focus more on those which convert. There are endless possibilities of keywords and you can't find all of them. Even if 10 articles each making 2 sales a day you get $400 a day (keeping $20 as average per sale).

It looks like you have a pretty good plan. I always respect someone who is willing to work hard to accomplish a goal. Don't give up (if you write that many articles, in a few days you will start asking yourself why you are doing this). Keep us posted on your progress, it will be interesting.

Your Yahoo Answers plan has little chance of succeeding, I think. I used it a few years ago with success, and still get some money to this day from some answers I answered. You can't go link dropping every time now, though, you'll get banned real quick. 2 years ago it was much easier. You could drop a link maybe once very ten answers, and that might work.

You can make anything work, but I wouldn't look at it as a viable strategy, myself, these days.

    You can write articles, though.

Here's a hint. Look at the first page of google for your search term. What kind article sites or other sites where users can post content pop up? Take notice of such sites and use them, you do not have to stick to just the traditional article directories. Use other web 2.0 sites as well...

Funny, but the main thing that stood out for me was how you stared at the picture of your car for motivation. I can tell you're halfway there. This is a good plan James, stick with it, work it and you'll be driving that kickass car in no time.

You can drop a link more often, but it depends a lot on how much content you provide, and who happens to be reading the post. Your posts get cut if someone clicks on the spam button at the bottom of the post. Providing enough real content so your link doesn't look quite so much like self-promotion seems to help. The biggest problem with Yahoo Answers is that too many of the questions seem to be either troll bait or kids looking for quick cash or homework answers.... I've got a few direct links from readers, but haven't found any of my answers there showing up in google, even looking for very specific keyword phrases...

If it was me i would suggest a little change in the plans.
You write 5 articles a day and post it in your blog, that is great.
Now, take two article from that and rewrite them and then submit to article directories, this helps better in search rankings and getting traffic.

thats a really great idea. but how do you intend to find a great niche to write an article about? and submitting 5 articles per day with the same niche could be quite exhausting. honestly i always have a problem finding a good niche to start off with. care to share how you go about choosing your niche for this strategy you're implementing?

Well James you can still do the yahoo answers techniques you planned but you might want to switch up on things that will pay off your time. Tried hubpages or squidoo? They are the hot sites right now so getting traffic from hubs and lens will be a breeze.
