Best Website To Buy Domains Online ?

I need about 50. I am usually using namecheap but there was 1 other one, I think the name is something like domain people that lets you input bulk names and also gives suggestions as to what to buy if your required domain is not available.

Help please

GoDaddy does all of the things you are looking for.

No please, not Godaddy. They're awful.

I have about 20 domains with Namecheap, they are good.
10 with godaddy, I hate their Navigation/Web Experience.

I am looking for one other service provider that I used to use.

Sure...including screwing you up when less expected.
Do your "home work" and you'll see way.
1&1 and namecheap are the best. I dealt with them for more than 12 years.

I like BustAName for looking up domain names. You can search with prefixes and suffixes, plus use synonyms if your keywords are gone.

Anthonyrude - could you please clarify "stole my domains" ?

I'm no GoDaddy fan - I prefer Namecheap over them myself - but if they are into some dirty practices, we'd like to know..

    Yes I can clarify-

I noticed they (godaddy) automatically charged my new debit card for some services.

I didn't give them my new debit card number.

They said the bank will give it to them if the old card is no longer in service.

I did not like this at all. I need to give someone permission to use my card.

I went in to godaddy and took my card off of their billing.

Then I called to ask how this happened. Mason told me that if I don't have
a card on file (even if I've already paid for services) they will take my domains away.

I couldn't believe it. I looked at my account and all my domains I had already paid for that do not expire until next year are all gone. I sent emails and support tickets because I couldn't believe this is legal and what Mason had told me.

I called back to speak to someone else after the shock wore off a bit and this person told me that I had deleted my domains in my account before I took the credit card off the account. He said that they cannot do that (delete domains) and that I was the one that did it.

I never even went in to my domain manager. I was in the billing area. I asked him if that made any sense. Why would I delete domains I already bought and paid for for an entire year? He said it happens all the time. I was in shock again.

I went back and forth with him but he still says I did it.

And that I would have to pay a reinstatement fee to get the domains back.

The funny thing is, i never got a email stating that i changed my account by taking the credit card off. But, I did get an email asking for me to do a survey of the help i got from mason the first person i spoke to on the phone.

    Here's where it gets interesting.

I did get an email almost two hours after the email for the survey explaining that I had deleted all my domains. Funny how I didn't get anything about changing credit cards and two hours after this guy deletes my domains the send me an email telling me I did it.

    This just happened.

If you want to hear other horror stories you can go to:

    nodaddy.com

    and

    forums.nodaddy.com

It's really amazing and I'm still in shock.

Reading the forum I found another host

    anonymoussheap.com

I have not checked it out but I believe it's supposed to
host out of the country so you can be anonymous if you like.

Good luck - stay way from godaddy

I heard stories but wanted to save a buck so I would buy .info's there for cheap.

The thing is, if you want whois protection it costs a lot at godaddy.

At namecheap you can pay a little more for a .info domain but you get the
    whois protection for free.

Definitely worth it in my opinion.

I guess namecheap would be the best if you are trying to get a really good deal. I thought godaddy.com was decent, but I guess it doesn't matter where you buy the domains from. I don't like godaddy hosting though. I always buy my domains from godaddy and then host my sites through hostgator.

I only use GoDaddy to check domain availability, as they do give alternatives. Wouldn't use them though, given the concerns above. I've used Namesco in the past, found them alright. I use MattieBlazeHosting now, as I have my hosting there and simple addon new domains. Works for me.

They have a sh!tty service, I once purchased a few auction domains, and I had also changed my CC details after being robbed in canada by some strippers(long story). Needless to say, once i added my new cc(that bank of america sent me) a few days later. My auction domains were gone.

I'm using Netfirms for years, they are cheap, and privacy is free.

But I want to start using Namecheap, because so many people here recommend them, although they seem to offer privacy only for the first year, privacy is still cheap, and their whoisguard seems to have more options. So I want to try.

Godaddy has gained notoriety for their endless upsells when making a domain purchase, but I suppose this has ultimately boosted their bottom line as their profits have soared in recent months. In a way, it's not unlike those annoying and endless upsells you see when buying a popular Clickbank product.

I am using GoDaddy for last 3 year and has so many domains there. No problem faced so far and they are cheapest for me as whenever I go for any product purchase, I use their promo codes and I get in some products around 70-80% discount. Last month I purchased 2 domains in only 1.17$ per domain.

Anyways besides GoDaddy my second favorite is Namecheap as they offer domain privacy feature without any extra fee.
