Need Press release advice

Hey guys,

I'm looking to do some press release in the next few weeks and was looking to outsource the work.

Just wondered how you guys dealt with providing so much personal info to an outsourcing company.

i.e. name, address etc.

thanks for the feedback

Are you just having them write the copy?

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

No i was going to have them submit it I think that's where i become uncomfortable handing out that much personal info

    Long time no see Dan.

Why are you so concerned? Once they distribute the PR, all that information is going to be out in the pubic anyway. What's the difference giving the data to your freelancer and posting it publicly on the WWW?

I agree. I've been writing PRs for many years and as a former managing editor of a small local paper, I received many as well. I've never seen one that didn't include full contact information. If I had, I would have tossed it immediately.

And if you can't trust the people you're hiring to do your PR, maybe you need to find a different writer?
