I Just finished my first product, what's next?

It's an e-book with information that I think almost everyone that owns or wants to own a business (online or offline) would be interested in.

What would be the best route for me to take as far as maximizing the exposure of the book and getting affiliates interested in advertising this product?

I'm thinking that it may be hard to get the attention of affiliates with this being my first product.

If you have any experienced advice in this area please share, it will be greatly appreciated.

Have you tested your product first?

    Is it converting?

If so at what conversion rate?

You'll get more affiliates if you can prove that your product converts and show proof.

But when you do it can give you the amount of exposure you're looking for. You can also try press releases, as well as, solo ads on ezines and blogs as well..

As a matter of fact you could do paid advertising here also.

    Bingo!

Add some upsells, get good copywriter, test conversions, figure out EPC. Then go from there.

Do you have your own site where this is being promoted, or a blog? Article marketing using some of the information in the book is another idea and so is video marketing and press releases - but it helps if you have a site that you can refer people to. Alternatively you can put it up for sale on Clickbank or Paydotcom but there is a fee with Clickbank and there might be one for Paydotcom (I am not sure) and you could attract affiliates that way.

I hope that helps and good luck with your book

The 1st thing you need to do before recruiting affiliates is to start selling to test conversions (and work to increase them) so you have hard conversions numbers and value per visitor numbers for the potencial affiliates.

They will also want to know the source of the traffic that resulted in the conversion rate and didn't traffic sources convert differently.
