Docstoc-Is it any good for affiliate marketing i`m getting loads of visits but no sales

Hi guys,
I`ve been sending out some articles with affiliate links in the body to the site docstoc i am getting loads of visits but not a single sale and i`m just wondering exactly who is visiting the page is it a searcher looking for extra content for his site ect ect or possible customers for the products in the article.

Has anyone actually been making any sales from this site ? It just seems strange that i`m getting hunders and hundreds of sites but not a single sale even on the worst possible % i should of got one sale !!

Any ideas ??

    I don't know about doctoc. What I usually do is built a site for each product with 50 - 100 articles and put up afiliae links in it. Optimize the site for SEs. But not all of them are successful though. Some bring sales. Some bring adsense income.

    I had one of my outsourcers using that method for a while and didn't get great results either.

      Chances are it's the keywords you are targeting with what you are putting on docstoc and how you are doing the writing. It's the same as article marketing - you need to be targeting those who are looking to buy something to solve their problem and your content should persuade them that you have what they need.

      If you do it right, they'll have their hand in their wallet before they get to your site.

      On the other hand, if you are catering to the information seeker, then that is what you will get coming to your site.

        Thats a great reply and i 100% agree with you, Yeah some of the articles maybe alittle info based but i`ve made afew sales online now and i was just wondering how people are marketing on docstoc

    I like docstoc as they have lots of visitors but like you, I never got a sale as well. Maybe we should focus more on the type of readers we are catering to and make our articles more detailed as possible.
