Desperate Internet marketer

You Know guys am looking back in time and I see that I joined the WF on August 2007, it means now more than 3 years ( I mean not full time with it, as I am an engineer), I found the WF while I was searching on an opportunioty to start working on line to pay my bills, with a lot of hope I saw the posts and the people who are listing their success stories, and I said that I can do like them.

So I started writing articles and posting them to EZA, I wrote 6 articles and I watched them, they had very little clicks, and after a while the traffic died, also posted on many article directories, and i struggled to I also created a squidoo lens, all came out with 0 income.

I really do not know how to start, I really need help from you guys to make my first 10 box online.

Cheers

In 3 years a fesw articles like that wont make you money. choose a money making method and keep on working hard on it until you see profit. My best advice is to start building a list with your own product.

First of all, I am surprised that you have been here 3 years and have thought that 6 articles would do something for you. Second, I am surprised that you haven't really read through the forum within the last 3 years.

That being said, my questions are do you have a market you want to target? Is there a problem within that market that needs to be solved? If so, do you have a product or can you create a product to solve that problem? These are things you need to consider.

Just doing a few articles wont make anyone money.
You really have to start from first step which is analyzing the right market for yourself.
Keyword and competition research in the market you decide you have a passion for.
And from there you will have a much better idea of where to go and what methods work.

I would recommend Ed Dale's challenge to learn some new methods and go through the proper steps. It's free and very detailed.

Good luck and feel free to contact me for help

I beleive that you should have the motivation from number of clicks that you receive first then you replicate, butthe problem is that i had a very few clicks which lead to nothing.

If your motivation relies solely on the response you get, you'd be better off getting a second offline job.

          Touche!

You are an engineer, right? I haven't been a member here long, but any time at all on this forum (I see that you've made 97 posts) should have dispelled any notion that you should expect to make squat merely from publishing a few articles.

And how well has this worked for you? What you believe actually doesn't matter since you claim not to know what you are doing.

You are the one who started this thread and told us that you only have made six articles. Maybe you should listen to experience and understand that what people are telling you is to help you. Arguing and giving your opinion when you have asked for help is the quickest way for people to NOT help you.

Guys I mean six articles submitted to more that 5 article directories it means in total 30 artilces died out after a while and I could not see any traffic to them, that is why I am desperate, also my squidoo lens beside my site which you can see in my signature.

I am windering how people here are talking about thousands they make online, any blue print with a step by step, any offer for help???

1 - How can you expect anyone to take your "make money online" site seriously if you yourself can't make money online?

2 - Several people have already suggested Ed Dale's Challenge to you as a way to learn. It's free. Google it, give that 30 days, and see what happens.

Maybe you should follow the plan in your sig file. Just sayin...Why is it up to everyone else here to help you with some kind of plan? Most people here have taken the time to study and figure it out on their own. Others have paid a lot of money to learn different systems and ways to build their business online. So although you may be "serious" and "need a full plan" I think you should do it the way everyone else has and read, study and maybe even invest a little to learn how to become successful.

Thanks guys for your support, I will do my best to achieve my goal, it could happen that you struggle with something, but you need to keep going.

I know that I might did not pay a lot of efforts, but till now I can't decide which stratigy to follow, and may be am not a hard worker, and I do not have that much patience WF members have, but belive me I am on WF a day by day, checking the posts and thoses with highly rated trying to catsh something just to give me a push, and some hope.

Anyways I will start with Ed's stuff, and I will see, I would also like others to suggest other resoures for learning that might be helpful.

                  Thanks again and best regards

True ye, nothing happens overnight. Try to write 3 articles every day minimum. Write them in MS Word. Don't submit them once you are done. Submit everything at the end of your week. Sunday lets say. Then submit all these articles you saved to document sharing sites. This will allow you to use same article again and get ranked very high. If you search in Google, im sure you will find 20-30 document sharing sites. So 1 article you write in MS Word, is actually 20-30 articles.

I recommend that you create yourself a plan. What you need to do every week. Don't focus on money, focus on progress. That you need to do it, just to see traffic. If you see progress, it will motivate you. Money will come later. Focus on money at the start and you will leave it soon, as you don't see results as fast as you expected. Always focus on progress.

    Hope this helps

That is the best advice imo, you need a plan to progress and succeed. Always create a target for yourself and aim for that target. Make the target realistic and achievable, reaching this target will motivate you to reach the second target and so on. You need a plan, a focus, something to aim for. Ask yourself why you got into IM, what do you want to achieve? If you have a plan, regular targets and a desire to succeed, you will succeed in this business. Good luck and start thinking positively.

I don't think it is simply a matter of wanting to become rich overnight. Yes there are many promises online stating that it is possible but for most people starting out, or even those some years down the line, it is more a matter of understanding what is required. My suggestion would be to sign up for something like the 30 Day Challenge. It is free and leaves you in no doubt about how much work is required to make money online

I agree that the sales copy on most WSO's or IM products make people think they can just do this "little bit" and the money will start pouring in.

        # 1: If you really want to make a serious income online you're going to have to put in some serious effort.

In the beggining stages to get some momentum going you're almost certainly going to have to put in MORE effort than you would working a job with less reward.

Over time (somewhere between 2 to 18 months depending on how intelligently you use feedback to improve on what you're doing) your return for effort will rise.

But understand that this is going to take some disciplined effort over an extended period of time for you to make money.

        # 2: At present your focus is entirely on you making money for yourself.

But if you really want to build a business that makes you an income you need to change that focus to how you can deliver real value to others.

If you're focusing on ways you can deliver real value it gets a whole lot easier to turn that value delivering into income streams.

        # 3: Forget about the idea of the week.

Stick to one strategy and develop some real skills at whatever strategy you choose.

Most people don't need more information...they need to take serious action on the information they already have.

        Kindest regards,
        Andrew Cavanagh

All of the techniques you tried resulted in 0 income but in your blog, the one linked to in your sig. you say:

"one month ago I started to implement his strategy and money started to come, not exactly as he tells in the videos, because I don't have enough time to apply every thing but sure if you followed his procedures I am sure that you will get the results"

How can you make zero income and then tell people on your blog that once you started using a particular system the money started coming in?

No, I don't. If your blog post said people are making money with this etc. that's one thing but you flat out lie and say that you yourself are making money with a particular program. That's wrong and I don't agree with it at all.

It may be true that people are pretending to be successful when they're not but that is a big part of the reason that becoming successful is so difficult, you have the blind leading the blind and all you are doing is contributing to the problem.

Sounds like this is not your line of work. 6 articles and a lens in a few years. That is the same effort I put into it in a week on a slow week! It may take a few dozen well written articles to get anyone that shows any signs of promise. It could take more or less. The ol' 20-80 rule seems to apply loosely to articles as well as sites the more you market online.

I am a little confused though. When I clicked on your signature link you implied in your content that you were making money.

At the rate of your content creation your chances of hitting it big online are much lower than if you go out and buy a power ball lotto ticket.

If you want success it takes action. Action itself does not guarantee success but those who continually take it seem to put themselves in situations of opportunity and appear to either be lucky or successful more often.

Point is you need to decide if you have the time or the motivation to take action.

    • There are no shortage of plans - free plans to make
money right here on this forum.

The kicker here is in actually DOING what is suggested
      and taking action.

From CPA to providing a service, you can learn how
to do it all right here.

I've found Instant Commission Programs to be
      very profitable.

On one hand, you've got to drive traffic to the offers,
but on the other hand, you don't have to create a sales
letter and you get paid directly into your Paypal account.

Think about it...and then take massive action.

I only saw four articles on your blog and they were all sales pitches. That is not going to do it. Where is the value? Why would I want to go back? You need to generate lots of unique content each and every week from here on. Come back in a year and ask this question.

Not only that (which is a very, very common mistake), but the product you're promoting there is one for which most of the potential purchasers are already Clickbank affiliates with their own accounts. Why do you imagine they'll buy the product (if wanting to) through your affiliate-link?!

Ok, I was less-than-helpful with my comment about your honesty/integrity, I know, but this will help a little bit more: if you want to sell Clickbank products, at least choose products on which you can earn commissions: here's a 10-point checklist of product-selection criteria.

You need to know the basics - there is a great deal of information in Internet Marketing.

There are so many ways to make money no one could ever come up with all of them.

The average person today goes through 9 trades. I said that because no matter what you do you need the skills to do it and you must know all the basics.

I do not know anything about what you do but I am sure you have the basics down along with tools that are needed.

Learn first - then comes $$$$$$

I feel for you and I've been there myself. My suggestion to to continue with article marketing. There really is no magic number of articles to produce in a day, week or month to begin making you money... although I would suggest an article a day. Why? Because it will become a habit. Don't blow it off or say, "I'll just sit on the couch tonight and I'll do two articles tomorrow to make up for it." Just do it.

The fact is that you can write ten junk articles that have little value, with poor titles and no call to action and you're going to get zero dollars for your effort. Read a few articles in the niche that you are working in and notice how they are set up. Notice what titles catch YOUR eye and get YOU to click, read and want to click on that link. Don't copy the articles but notice the format that moves you to take action and write your articles in a similar way.

Alexa's advice on choosing products to promote is helpful too... she's pretty clever

Chin up and don't give up!

I think you need to work hard to get your 1st sale, and that would motivate you to get your 2nd, 3rd ...
that's how I got started anyways ... work hard for that 1st sale, and the rest is just a number's game

once you make enough, you could outsource your article writings as well

I may have been a bit of tough love happening in my post but after reading through this thread and looking at your sig link you really have picked a touch niche to promote, I know I have been in that for 10 years still am but have gravitated to much easier pickings. The make money niche when geared to other marketers is a tough sell and conversions often pale as compared to selling make money online products to people looking to open a traditional work at home business.

Find an easier niche that is not pitched to online marketers and you will likely find it easier to convert providing you are actually working at it.

I use to keep a log book by my computer. The night before I would often list what I wanted to get accomplished the next day and it was 7 days a week. Yes I went lightly on the weekends but if I did not get it done during the week guess what it got finished on the weekend. Not good when the weather was nice, so I rarely let things pile up on the weekend even if it meant getting up at 3am in the morning. If you are motivated you will do what it takes to get closer to your goals.

You just need to find a system that guarantees you will produce and it has goals that make sense and do not get distracted or deviate much from those goals.

The 30 day challenge is a good start for learning how to get started.

I can't believe no one has pointed this out yet.

You seem to want to do article marketing (or I believe that by the fact you wrote 6 articles). Now don't take this the wrong way, but if you are planning on making a go of things with article marketing, you need to get better at writing. The writing in your posts carry quite a few problems, and some of them are down right painful to even try and understand what you are saying. So my first word of advice is either to get better at writing or get someone to do your writing for you.

Not trying to be negative, but everyone always offers article marketing as a way to make money online, not taking into account that some people just can't write well enough to be article marketers.

    Just my 2 cents.

Sorry to hear about you not being able to make money online. Maybe you are taking the wrong approach, you should look into other areas like starting your own online business or try MLM or affiliate marketing. With so many new ways to earn money online these days, the possibilities are virtually endless. You just need to pick a program, research it to make sure it is not a scam and stick with it long enough to reap real rewards. Best of luck.

I know that watching other people have success might seem like it's productive, but it's not.

Step 1 - stop looking through the forums for "opportunity". It gives you a good feeling to see how much money someone else made, but at the end of the day it doesn't make you any money.

EZA is a proven traffic source that will make you money. I've done it effectively so I know that it works.

Here is your specific problem. 6 articles is not a enough to tell if your product will sell. Here is what you should do... And first off, are you doing affiliate marketing? I'll just assume so...

Step 2 - Sit down and make a list of your offers. Only one offer? Are you sure that it is a good offer? I'd recommend a list of 5-10 offers.

Step 3 - Write between 3-4 articles for each offer. You're going to want to test:
    -Bio boxes
    -Article titles
    -Voice/character in your articles

Yup... a lot of articles, but you need to get a lot of content out there if you want to see what works.

Step 4 - Go back and look at your stats after your articles have been published for about a week or two.
    -did you make sales?
-did you get a lot of clicks into certain articles?
-did you get a lot of clicks from a certain article to your offer?
Take this information and use the top performing articles data to help you write more effective articles.

Step 5 - Repeat the process and use the top performing data to write better and better performing articles.

[QUOTE OP; Guys I mean six articles submitted to more that 5 article directories it means in total 30 artilces died out after a while and I could not see any traffic to them, that is why I am desperate, also my squidoo lens beside my site which you can see in my signature.]

I'm sorry but you do need to do way more work than 6 articles a Squidoo lens and a free Blogger blog over 3 years. You've also gone into one of the most competitive niches teaching people something you haven't been able to do yourself.

Then when Perumon said to do the challenge you said "You are the first one to suggest such a suggestion!!!!!!!!!!!" Where as in fact Kjimeno suggested it in the 3rd post and Ljmatt also mentioned it before Perumon. The Challenge is a great way for you to learn the basics and get a blueprint free of charge and learn from a very good teacher.

I'm not having a go but you have to understand that those people that are making the money have spent a lot of time and serious hard work getting there. It's also worth realising that just because someone has a "How to make money online or make a gazillion by morning" signature link doesn't mean they've actually done it themselves. As you, with all due respect, are well aware.

Do the Challenge. There's also a forum there, with other Challengers, so you can speak to lots of people there also doing it. Good luck.

If you're really desperate, you can go to Warriors for hire section and offer writing service. $5 per 350 word article. Just write 10 of them daily and you'll make $1500 per month.

Or if you write a salescopy that takes a little more skill, you can charge at least $350-$500 per copy. You can write a few of them to make $2000 a month.

    Something to think about..

You write that you are a desperate internet marketer, but are you really? 6 articles in 3 years does not sound desperate to me. 6 articles in 3 hours would be more like it.

Internet marketing is not your shortcut to success. Quite the opposite - internet marketing requires extra effort and motivation from your part, since you have to invest your time (money) and energy until you start making reputable income.

If you are not willing to take this sacrifice, you might as well start looking for a 9-5 job, which nothing to be ashamed of, since IM is not for everybody.

Hey Desperate! I had a long drawn out post for you, but I think instead I am simply going to say "Yeah, what Andrew Cavanagh said." What you are going through is something that hits home with almost every marketer who has been through it and come out the other side. You must commit, focus, act, learn and improve. Allow yourself a minimum of 6 months to really start seeing results. Set a goal as to what actions you are going to take each and every day and stick to it or exceed it. Don't trail off to other things. That's the kiss of death. There's always the next thing. Pick one thing i.e. affiliate marketing, own product, subscription site, whatever. Pick one model and stick to it. Pick 2 marketing methods and get really good at them. Consistency is the key. I could go on and on.

I do have a question running through my mind, though. I'm assuming you have been marketing some sort of "Make Money" affiliate program? You are an engineer. If it was me I'd be taking advantage of that knowledge. You probably have an encyclopedia full of helpful, valuable information. Probably much more than you even realize.

    Stick in there.
    Wishing you success,

Your word; "desperate", not mine, OK?

Point is, in the real world, desperate people have a look, a smell about them and most Entrepreneurs/investors or joint venture partners wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

What attracks people is CONFIDENCE, self assurance, good looks, purpose, certainty...

    What repels people? DESPERATE people.

    OK. Not much help, eh?

Look, as an engineer you have hidden skills, knowledge and experience you can call upon.

ONE of the best ways to get RESULTS is to tap into what you already know, what you do and what (if any) of that info are people looking for online.

Even making your first 10 or 100 or even your first 1000 really doesn't do you much good unless it is part of a bigger business plan, if you know where you want to go, where you "could" be in one/two/three years and follow a REALISTIC plan of action to get there.

But man, whatever you do...get out of the "desperate" mode...it stinks.

    gjabiz

PS. Probably have to explain to a few that I'm being metaphorical, not literal. Or am I?
