How good is the idea of offering freshly-written PLR articles via a monthly membership site?

Hello Warriors,

With so many PLR articles membership sites out there, is there a market for more similar sites?

How many articles would be a good number to offer every month?
How much would you charge every month?
How many people would you cap the membership limit at?

I know that's like asking you all to give away the bank, but come to think of it... with more Warriors sharing the info., it's possible we might get ideas from each other as well.

Let me not shy away either. I'm no expert, but this is what I have in mind, not sure if it'll do well. 100 articles spread across 4 niches, priced at around $20 a month capped to a limit of 300 members. Will it sell out to 300 members? That's perhaps the key question with this example.

Please help with your views and ideas.

I think the idea you have is great but I would advise you to find the customers first.

What I mean is you can build a list and ask THEM all of these questions - find out what people are looking for and give it to them.

There IS a market there for this without a doubt but as you say there are many options out there.

Build a responsive list that trusts you and then find out what they are looking for and build a membership site to fit in with their needs and then market.

If you do it well you will have a lot of ready made testimonials from your existing members.

    I hope this helps.

I'm going to answer this from the point of view of a customer. Of course, opinions will vary.

I prefer a niche specific plr membership. I don't care for "grab bag" plr memberships that force me to buy varied niches per month. This is due to the fact that I prefer to decide which niches I'm in, not decide to enter a niche simply because I have plr for it.

That being said, I would offer 4 different memberships...one for each niche. Offer a package deal to folks who subscribe to more than one if you want.

The "holy grail" for PLR buyers is making that PLR at least somewhat unique. Savvy marketers buy PLR and have it rewritten (or rewrite it themselves). You find a way to get each of your members a unique version of the PLR you offer, and I bet you could write your own ticket. In fact, I'm certain of it.

But if you just offer a run-of-the-mill PLR membership, you've got a ton of competition and would be hard-pressed to find 300 members without a ton of promotion. I think it would take a while to get anywhere near 300 without a truly unique USP like what I just mentioned.

If I may here is my 2 cents,
John is right I know firsthand you will be very hard pressed to get members with just a plr site that they can get anywhere.
here are a few sites that opened in the past 2 weeks-I keep up on all of this stuff.

You have plrdealer who will give you a custom made website each month just for you no other member gets it they all get their own uniquely professionally designed and they get unique article packs etc. unique meaning never seen before and not available anywhere else. that is their USP

Then you have the unselfish marketer's plr site which is called unselfish plr.
That site gives you ebook audio book website sales letter etc unique every month and you get SOFTWARE -members gained-tons and that is a high end price too.

There are others but these 2 will give any site a run for their money so if you want to do something like this this is what your going to have to top or at least meet on a monthly basis if you do a unique software each month you need to have a programmer who can write it up consistently.

PLR sites are a dime a dozen I had a site that offered way more then any other site I know that because I did my research and I had like 30 members with an average stick time of 3-6 months and after 3 I had 0 paid left. so You really have to come up with something unique and then put it into a membership site cold selling memberships has to be like door to door vacuum sales. it is very hard. it is best to have a front end product with the membership offer on the backend I know that many do this and can even sell that with a higher price but it is best to research that which you wish to start
    Cheers
