Anyone else having PayPal trouble tonight (Mon. 11/17/08)???

This is driving me nuts. I've never had a message like this from PayPal before.

I've tried several times over the last 3 hours to buy a WSO, but I keep getting a PayPal screen with this message:

Sorry -- your last action could not be completed

If you were making a purchase or sending money, we recommend that you check both your PayPal account and your email for a transaction confirmation after 30 minutes.

If you came to this page from another website, please return to that site (don't use your browser's Back button) and restart your activity.

If you came from PayPal's website, click the PayPal logo in the upper-left corner to return to our home page and restart your activity. You might have to log in again.

    No problems that I know of here.

    The only problem I'm having with my Paypal account right now is that my balance is lower than I want it to be!!!

    I just checked it on the paypal Order Button in my WSO and everything looks fine here.

    Try ordering the WSO after clearing Cookies from your browser.

    Yes, I've had some difficulty with PayPal over the weekend. I had two clients attempt to pay me for ghostwriting this weekend and both were unable to pay me through my usual email address. PayPal told me to clear my cookies which I did. I had them both pay me through an alternate email address, and figured I'd go ahead and make the alternate address my primary address. When I tried that I got the message you described. So I called them yesterday, and they had me on hold a long time. When they came back, they said they were having a problem with their server, and until they solved their problem, they couldn't solve my problem. I got an email from them today apologizing for the inconvenience and saying they are aware of the problem and they're working on it.

    I also had these problems after messing around with my email addresses in PayPal.

    Hopefully they'll figure it out soon.

    Meanwhile, I shot payment for my WSO by initiating the payment on my end rather than through the seller's sales page.

    Good to know it's not just a problem with my account

    I had a $1 charge to my credit card that's linked to the account on 16th according to my bank, but PayPal history won't update beyond the 11th at this point.

    I don't recall any $1 purchase over the weekend so I'm a little concerned about this one. I'm worried that it's a "test-run" (if, indeed, it is fraudulent) so I'm in the process of checking it out between PayPal and my bank.

    Might be worth checking to see if you have had any weird payments...

    Hope not.

      Paypal have been having issues for the last year...

      The latest I think has to do with an upgrade or
      bug fixing, I haven't been getting notification
      emails from them at all sometimes they come
      a week late.

    I have had another problem, I got two scam emails coming from service@paypal.com. It is not the real paypal sending this. So Watch out. I wrote about this here:
