Password Protect Feature Facebook Photos

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is an app/company/service, etc.. that will password protect photos that are posted on Facebook? I have a client that has an upcoming event involving children and they would like to post the photos on Facebook, however they are worried about the legalities behind public viewing of the photos.

Thanks for your input,

They could always select it on the photo album that only friends can see the pictures,or set it up so that only specific people whose names they add can see it. That's what I've done with various photo albums that are only meant to be veiwed by certain people.

I know it's not as easy as password protecting it, but it is at least a way to do it.

You can set it up so certain albums are only viewable by certain people. I've never heard of password-protecting a Facebook album, though, but there are always other options (e.g. hosting in somewhere else).

I know you can filter the viewing on a personal profile, but I am not sure how that works as far as a business is concerned.

Will the children have permission to attend the event? Our martial arts school has students sign photograph waivers so that they know their images may be used online, etc. When posting on Facebook, we do NOT post their names with the images.

I think there's no password protect for FB photos yet but it will only allow you to set it to specific people or just for yourself. You have to test it though to make sure you configured it properly. Will try to find other solutions for you.

  • It's really difficult to 100% protect pictures on Facebook, even when selecting the appropriate settings.

If people tag you, you'll be able to look through the pictures on their wall...
