Clickbank commissions! Who bought it?

Hi gang,

Lately, it seems that when you earn a commission or make a sale through clickbank, you are not able to see the person's email and name. This is the person who bought what ever you are selling.

Is there any way to check and know who this person is for tracking purposes?

This used to be the case but now I am not able to see who this person is, and what there email is.

Anyone?

    Tal I noticed this myself, but today I logged into another account that I haven't used for a while and that account still shows those details. So I'm really not sure why they aren't visible on some accounts.

      I think it's temporary.

      If I even look at the hops in my account it says "x items found, displaying all items" but then there is 0 hops actually listed below.

      I also have the same thing with the names disappearing from the sales, that you mentioned.

      When my stats do show they're delayed, as well.

      I think they're just updating or something. It's been happening on and off for a 1-2 weeks now.

    Its not temporary, this is a solid change, and it was discussed on a thread fully a couple of weeks ago.

    Basically it was a privacy issue - to roughly sum up Clickbanks announcement it was because it is a breach of privacy - most people buy a product and have no knowledge of affiliate marketing, or that they bought through an affiliate link, then get random emails out of the blue from people they've never heard of - it was actually a breach of privacy standards so it won't be coming back.

    Seems fair, and I agree with it, wondered how long that would last.

    I do think however it would be useful if they would indicate which sales are linked to the same customer, the area indicator isn't enough.

    I want to be able to see at a glance who purchased 1, 2 or more within the same funnel.

    I have spoken to CB developers about the customer tracking problem. They are looking seriously into providing a customer tracking ID by which you can follow buyers. This should solve most of our concerns without breaching customer privacy. they were not able to say when they would implement this however.
