Im looking to create a product? But...

Basically I am looking to make a product. Probably a long video course with loads of info in. I have never made a product before but I record and edit loads of videos through camtasia, so the creation side of it is fine. But setting up of a website or just for a download I do not have a clue about. Then also payment I do not either.

So my questions are:

1.) Once I have my videos how to I change them so other people can view them via a website or a download (for free preferably, obviously excluding domain and hosting costs.

2.) How can I do the paypal link (like in WSO, this is probably really easy but I just do not have a clue and have never don't it before.)

Thanks a lot!!!! For any answers

Why would he tell you what are the videos about? Do you tell others your product ideas before you create them?

Yes, but then I'm the exception to the rule, aren't I?

Also, I think she may have been referring to the niche or a broader range even.

          Yeah.

For me it sounded as she was talking to a newbie, as she thought that he want to create a product but if he doesn't know hot to create a website or sell them maybe he doesn't even know what to make the videos about. But, I may be wrong.

          Hi Tom,
Hope you don't mind me posting again!

The video course you are thinking of making, 2 questions which you should have answers to before you start...

          1. Is there an established demand for the info, and how much competition is there?
          2. Is there an existing product with an affiliate programme? When starting out, this will give you a lot less headaches! When you are making money promoting it as an affiliate, *then* take on any challenges of doing your own.

          Cheers,

You can try to sell that one as an affiliate just to see the market. To check if you would be able to sell your own product. You will also know what already is on the market so you can create something better.

Thanks yeah there is but there is alot of competition. I am thinking of just going for the make money online niche, there is a lot of competition but good conversion rates.

This is what I am doing atm, but would prefer to get going on something else.

What I was looking for really in this thread was would the better idea be to email people with the download? Or Create a website where people can view the videos online? Sorry I may not have made that clear.

It would be hard to find a service that would allow you to send emails of that size so having a website is much better.
You have two options with a website:
                1. Let the customers download a zip archive with the videos in a secure way.
                2. Have a Members-Only section where customers can view them online.

Okay so website with videos on is the choice. Could I simply set up my site and then say the sales page was at tombuck.com then the videos were located on a specific tombuck.com/7hd03 ?

Or wouldn't that be a very good Idea?

You should search for a membership software. I know there are even for Wordpress. That way you will have your website at tombuck.com and videos on tombuck.com/videos but they will be protected with username and password so only those who bought a membership can enter that section.
I never had one so maybe other would guide you better here.

Okay that sounds good. Any idea about price range?

Or if any one else has done this?

If your website won’t look professional, you won’t make any sales.
Creating a website and getting traffic is not a simple matter. You should simply hire a webmaster.

You can find one here in the Warrior forum in the session Warrior Products & Services.

    Take care!

    Hi Tom

I am not too sure on how to get the videos on your site so people can download them, I usually put them up on YouTube and then use an embed link on my site, or I upload them to my server in a zipped file (videos in mp4 format) and provide a download link to that file on my webpages.

With the paypal button you just use the webpage code instead of the email code that you would use for WSOs - if you are using wordpress pages just make sure that you insert the code in the 'source" mode rather than on the normal model .

    Have fun
    Lisa

If you want people to be able to download your video course, simply zip up the entire course with a program called "WinZip". Then upload the .zip file to a SECURE server and put the link on your thank you page.

Paypal link should be easy to do, just google a bit and you'll find it. As for the videos, I would recommend Amazon s3, a cloud-computing solution which charges the bandwidth used, and at a very reasonable price. Take a look at the pricing here:

Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3)

    Hope that helps

Okay thanks, the other option was something like sending the videos via email, would that just be an easier thing to do? If I attached the video course to an email from aweber?

If I'm not wrong, attachment is limited at 2Mb for aweber.

    Hi
If you’re not great at setting up a web site and graphics is best to get someone to do it for you
You can get great graphics packages from a few people on this forum..
Getting the videos to the buyers should not be too hard..You can use paypal or set the site up using clickbank or paydotcom

Just get the site built behind a secure members area..When they pay they get to join
You could upload the pages you have made from camtasia so you can view the video from your site and also add a download link so they can save the video to their pc..Just zip the video..
Then simply add a menu page as the main index so they can see what’s on offer..
This way they have to keep coming back to your member’s site to watch the next video so you have a good point of contact…
If you feel the videos are too large to host you can place them in an Amazon bucket..At very low cost..
    Hope this helps
