Almost 10 days, not in Google index

I created a new WP site with a few unique posts. Submitted it to Google and put it in webmaster tools. Has some backlinks from good places already showing in Yahoo. I also ran the Mass Pinger a few days ago where it creates the web statistic site backlinks.

Google spiders it twice a day, but does not show up with site:----.

I bought the domain from namecheap. I found the site had a history, but nothing serious. It was registered and never used (found it on a forum that lists expiring domains). Nothing in wayback machine. I always thought domains from registrars were never registered (like new cars).

Then I read about sites getting indexed within a few hours. I can see a week as reasonable time.

Seems like a game of luck?

Put the site in your sig file on this forum (and other forums) and you should be indexed within a day or two.

Try getting some backilinks from high page ranks sites. Do some research on Angela's and Paul's backlinks. They are pretty powerful.

Yes, you could either submit a free press release and get a quick backlink that way or alternatively from an article directory or if you already own another site create a backlink to your own site.

    hope that helps

      Shouldn't take long!
I just made a post about a similar technique: Go to Google reader and subscribe to your own rss feed. That's been getting my content indexed pretty well.

I agree. Google or search engines love sites that are high ranking and with high traffic like forums and article directories. Place your links on these sites and it will help your marketing strategy.
