What Would You DO

I just found a football/soccer domain with good links but no page rank. The domain name is listed for sale for 450 but the .net of the domain is a popular football/soccer forum.

The funny thing is that the domain name will expire 20th of this month which means it will become available before the end week of next year but my problem is : will the registrar release the domain or should I contact the owner of the domain.

I am really interested in getting the name since it already has links but I don't have 450. What Should I do? HOW do You think I can get the name.

    Contact the owner immediately if you're that interested. You may get the name cheaper instead of going through a broker after it expires.

    good point, I have a master plan since I love the game of football but getting the money for the domain name will be the major problem as I am a total newbie who has been online for 9 monhts but never made his first 100 dollars

    I agree with the above, you should contact direct, there may be other people who have seen that it is coming up for sale. Make them an offer and see what they say. Don't sound OVER keen though otherwise the guy might up the price.
