Newbie here - Let's get started

First of all hello to everyone. I hope I'm posting this on right forum + I hope I don't do a lot of mistakes. English my language is not hehe

Anyway.. I bought G SNEAK program. And this program/course suggests me to create my own page where I will create my blog and put affiliate link in it. But before I'm able to have my own page I first need to buy hosting and domain for this page of mine. And before I do that a question pops out.

I don't want to make 5000 dollars each month .. far away from that. I'd be more then enough pleased with 500 dollars a month. So will I be able to do that with this method - that is by using blog on my own site. Is that even effective? Does anyone still use this?

If anyone here is familiar with G Sneak can he share his results / thoughts.

Thx for answers

Blogging is a good way of promoting affiliate links but make sure you have your own domain name and hosting. You can get the domain from godaddy and can easily set up your site at host using pre-made template or wordpress. Hostings come from around $2 a month to $10 a month. But there are also places that provide you free hosting for building a site with their service. One such site is VoicePlate. You can check them out. It is relatively new but their costs are less and service is good.

First, thx for quick reply. So now when I know that stuff actually works I need help with making a blog. The person explaining in the video says that you need to put your main keyword let's say "puppy training" as title and in the content you target a specific keyword phrase. Now the confusion starts.. what does he mean by that? How do I target a specific keyword phrase? Then he also says.. "long tail or generic" what ever has less competition. What is difference between long tail and generic?

First of all, welcome to the forum.

Meanwhile, I have to suggest that you outsource if you cannot do it yourself.

I'd suggest you better study the material that's available here at forum. Most of the questions are already replied - and in a very good detail. Long tail keywords are e.g. "best ever keyword written" and a generic keyword is e.g. "keyword".

Thx for all replies but I'm still not sure what does that person think with "targeting a specific keyword in content". Does that mean that you just write that keyword few times or does it involve a specific process?

He means that you want to pick a good keyword and base your site all around that one keyword. Don't just pick "dogs" be very specific like "dog training" or "dog collars". Get into a niche rather than just a broad category.

So what I will do now.. pick very specific keyword.. with low competition, then try to find affiliate product that matches my keyword, then write this keyword few times in my blog and next to it -> affiliate link. I guess that's a good start. Correct me if I'm off course

The targetted keyword is going to be the 'main' keyword your trying to rank for with the site/blog whatever.

By that i mean that say if someone types in as you said, puppy training. Your goal is to have your site pop up in the top of the list or as near to it as you can manage.

Basically what you want to do is write your content in a way that allows you to use your target keyword numerous times. Without making the content unreadable for human eyes.. its a tough balance and in truth i dont know enough about it to give you a more concrete answer like an exact %. But im sure someone here knows

Edit: And in the time it took me to write that you got many far better answers lol.
