List of Article Directories

INTERNET MARKETING

I know at one time someone posted a HUGE list of article directories on here. I'm getting heavily into article marketing and am trying to compile a list of about 1000 directories. Can someone either point me to that prior post or PM with the list? I've spent about an hour an here and can't find it.

With all due respect and don't think I'm being rude but.... an hour on Google would probably have brought you better results.

I just Googled "1000 article directories" and there's a whole page full of results, only took 5 seconds and thats probably where the original list came from.

Yes, you can find article directory list of your choice, i.e, considering PR and categories from thw web easily.

Here's 50 article directories, to get you started. It includes a good deal of the "most important" ones from most professional article marketers' perspectives, I think.

A few problems with a lot of lesser, so-called "article directories" (the ones these automated mass-submitters post your articles to):

1) They're not really article directories in the traditional sense. No-one - specifically webmasters - realistically goes there to look for content to republish on their own sites.

2) A lot of the articles you submit will never get indexed unless you build backlinks to them (and what's the point in that? Might as well just build them to your own site).

3) Most of them don't stay up long, so any work you did put into building backlinks or trying to get indexed and what not, is very likely going to waste.

Yep. Article Directories are like link directories! Most with low PR and most disappear after a short while! Here's a few DOFOLLOW directories - simple HTML article submissions.

  If you want your article to rank high in the Search Engines this is true. But a DOFOLLOW backlink from some a relevant article is a DOFOLLOW backlink from a relevant article
