When Article Outsourcing Goes Wrong

...Sometimes you just have to laugh.

This line from a recently ordered article sounds like some kind of new proverb:

"The society had conditioned people to celebrate whenever there is to celebrate and so catering business will never pass away like a fart in a gale of wind."

I'm sure you guys have some good examples.

Got anything to share?

I hope you didn't pay very much for that article.

I don't even know what any of that means.

I don't know about a gale of wind, but I grew up hearing "fart in a whirl wind" which essentially is when something is ineffective.

If you think about a fart in a whirl wind, it will seem non existent as far as it's force (as the whirl wind will blow much harder than the fart) - provided the odor is not completely toxic.

      lol

LOL! That's hilarious. But it also frustrates me. I have spent countless hours and money hiring article writers just like this.

It's always suprising that you can communicate with them in fluent English and they seem to know what your saying and structure well articulated answers but when you get your article back it looks like a fart in a gale of wind!

You get what you pay for. If you want to find good articles without any mistake you have to spend money.

You will be rewarded with constant regular traffic. Good articles are real treasures, but quite expensive.

I did laugh (but my favourite is still the writer who promised lamps that would 'eliminate' my home instead of 'illuminate' it!). I'm not sure I'd have been generous enough to have laughed if I'd paid for it though.

That is a very creative writer you have there. Alas, My stuff isn't nearly that funny. I want to know the title of the article though.

You'd think that with that kind of competition, I'd be flooded with work. Eventually, people will figure out that real English-speaking writers don't work for $3/hour. I'm cheap at $15+/article.

When you get "work" like this, the one you deal with is outsourcing the work to cheaper, non-English writers.

How do you know what he paid the writer? He didn't mention that in his post. He could have paid $20 but the "writer" he hired passed it off to someone who only charges $10, who passed it off to the non-native person he pays $3 to.

I frequently find better quality items at a lower price than the highest priced in the same category. The key is to understand what you are looking for, and what you need it to do.

Again, don't mind me. I just read that so often, spoken like when the 10 commandments were handed down, this is what was chiseled on the back of them. In my experience, no, it wasn't, and it is a pile of crap. At least it might be worth thinking about other possibilities. I am getting totally tired of that line.

I certainly do come up with some doozies myself and please feel completely free to sort me out any time I do. If I have egg on my face I would prefer to know. At least then I can work on getting it off, or learn something.

You will only hear comments like that from writers.

If you offered me $50 to write an article, I would tell you to go find someone who does not value the quality of their work, and remind you that the web is full of writers of that caliber.

If you were offering $5, I would not even return your email.

I can be really obnoxious too, but you are right.

I buy a lot of stuff for cheap, which I consider better than the name brand.

The only corners I will not cut are Hellman's Mayo, Mountain Dew and hiring writers of quality.

        Everything else is negotiable.

So, I have to ask... why do you guys and gals hire these "cheap" article writers?

What do these articles do for your credibility, I wonder?

The difference between $5 and $20 might sound like a lot... but it's surely the difference between spun, poorly researched, regurgitated *crap* articles...

...and genuinely intriguing articles that build your AUTHORITY in your niche, not to mention get you SUBSCRIBERS and eventually SALES as you build your reputation and authority...

... so is paying $5 an article REALLY a cost saving?

OK, if you're going *purely* for backlinks, maybe... but just remember, someone might actually READ your spun crap... and actively decide never to do business with you again, based on what they've read.

Give me a $20 article writer any day over a $5 article regurtitator.

Haha I'm glad you guys liked it as much as I did.

The truth is this article was ordered from ccarticles.com ($7.50). I wanted to give them a try. I found their articles kind of weird... like some paragraphs would be fine then some would sound like that. I don't know about their claim of only using domestic writers to say the least.

Usually I use one gal from here on the forum who I order my bulk article marketing articles from for $9 per article, and another fellow from here on the forums who I use for some of the articles I put on my websites for $15 per article.

If there are any article writers here who do good work in the $9 range per for bulk orders (15 - 20 articles), feel free to send me a PM!

Hey, I feel for you! I have had the same thing and spent a few hours trying to understand what the writer was saying so that I could write it so it made sense.

I finally gave up. My family and I had some good laughs at the sentences (like yours) that made no sense at all.

I have about 10 articles like this that I will never be able to use as they are simply not readable.

I now really try to check not only that the writer says they know English, but that they can also write sentences and paragraphs that read well and make sense!

Thanks for sharing your funny example with us. At least I am not alone in this experience! LOL.

      Love that one!!!

My favorite is not from an article but a small ad in the back of some magazine. It was an ad for a special kind of showerhead and said:

Man - I am the worst at trying to do this on the cheap and then I get burned for it. ...just like this.

Last time I even went over to "another forum" 'cuz it was cheaper. :p I was so busy when I got all of the articles back in that I didn't get a chance to look at them very close. A few weeks later I went to use them and those guys stole my own content and spun it so ridiculously that it was unreadable. Another kept saying the word "sh*t" throughout the articles.

Yes, you get what you pay for - sometimes less.

While this doesn't have anything to do with article marketing, it just reminded me of that Gas-X commerical for some reason...

"I see your flatulent in 5 languages"

    *Phone rings*

"Your song Rip is holding on line toot"

Hilarious commerical. If you haven't seen it, check it out.

Now, to the OP, that's pretty much why I've yet to do much outsourcing. I've done some here and there, but haven't been able to find something that is affordable but decent. I know there are tons of writers out there that probably would meet my requirements, but it takes time and effort to try to weed out all of the bad ones. By the time I do that, I could've written the articles I needed done. But, that's just how I work I guess.

    • haha, that is really bad...but at least you can now cross out one of your potential writers from your list

So far I didn't run into these problems though...always make sure to request a sample before signing them up with you, though that of course isn't a guarantee that the writer will be good (they could just copy+paste it from somewhere else).
