Great scene-very funny and seems pretty real. The funny thing is, 90% of the conversation is rooted in a lack of word definitions-and I find myself largely in agreement with the grandfather. I imagine he's right-out of 5000 Facebook "Friends", I would be surprised if you could find one that would come and help you move. (But don't ask me to help over the phone either-the answer is still no).

This made my day too. I agree with LetsGoViral. Not everyone or FB is really friends in person or in real life. In fact, many of them would just add a celebrity page even if they are not the actual celebrities bu fan-maintained profiles. You will also find lots of people who just joined FB just to like various pages. It's actually a place for everything.

I seriously thought the TS hasn't been on Facebook and is asking what the site is for. The video sure is hilarious. haha. Can't imagine retirees in some nursing home discussing their thoughts and activities on Facebook during socialization period. Gotta share this.

"nobody has 3 or 400 frriends"...haha, so true. I love those raw opinions of some of the elders, it's really amusing. that guy explained only the part with the status, I wonder how that other guy would react to the other features of facebook; now that would be hilarious!

The wise old man is... right.

According to a social study, it's physically impossible for humans to have more than 100 GENUINE friends. They concluded the reason being that the human mind can't engage with more than that amount on a deep enough level to warrant true friendships.

Plus, socially, it's physically impossible to develop and maintain bonds with more than 100 people as friends.

Technically, it doesn't work.

So people with thousands of "friends" on social networks are really just people with thousands of associates at best.

The saying "you can count your real friends on one hand" was coined for a reason. Technology or not, it remains true.
