List of wordpress plugins vital to a website

Ok, I am finally figuring out how to use wordpress, and I installed a few plugins I need.
The only one I bought was
Wp-member

I also installed
Google XML Sitemaps
Wordpress Download Monitor

Can anyone recommend any other vital plugins that I need to help me along?
I am building a PLR membership site.

  • A better contact form is "contact form 7".

    Wordpress Backup is pretty important if you are building something big.

    If you are looking to speed up your website (or even reduce bandwidth) I recommend "W3 Total Cache", which is better that the "super cache" plug in.

      If you are worried about your articles not being unique, then you could
      use a WordPress Plugin I use called WPUnique , this will 'spin' the article
      or Private Label Article and make it unique and primed for Search Engines ? .
      And, wp policies (I use the 'import feature at the bottom and upload about 10 paes. Then I edit any that need it.)

    • yes that would have been helpful if it had appeared when I searched "all in one"
      I also tried "allinone" like another person suggested but I still couldn't find it.

    These ones I use almost everywhere.
  • Now, the first thing I can tell you is this: you need to make sure that the plugins you install fit what you need your blog to do. So, don't install plugins you don't need just 'cause others say they are good or that you need them. They only slow down your loading time.

    With that said, every blog I install will have at least all in one SEO, simple google sitemap and wp-db-backup.

  • Yap non are vital but you should get 1 seo plugin, I can recommend:
    All in One SEO
    or Yoast.com (in beta)
  • Yoasts new "wordpress seo" plugin. It covers everything, including the ground allinone seo pack does but better.
