Killer article marketing tip...free for warriors. :)

Most of the time, article marketer's post their articles to article directories like ezinearticles. There's nothing wrong with this, it works well. But there's other ways of doing it.

For example, instead of posting your articles on article directories, post them on niche forums.

Take the WarriorForum for example. A thread here can get hundreds of views in just a couple of days. Not only that, but your article could get indexed in mere minutes.

Not only that, but threads from forums frequently rank highly in Google for competitive keywords, often with no backlinking.

Here's another trick: link to your threads in your signature. This is a great way to take advantage of a forum's internal backlinking structure, and to get more views to your articles. Obviously, the more posts you make, the more powerful this will be.

To find popular forums in your niche, go to The largest Message Boards and Forums on the web!, or do a search in Google.

Good luck Warriors.

    Indeed. All of the above.

And once you have mastered niche forums, aim for niche websites with huge audiences, and newsletter publishers with huge audiences.

Without the marketing of your articles, it is not article marketing, but just article writing.

Cool advice. I sometimes am worried about posting in forums for fear of being banned. Even in here, I realize that you can't post affilliate links but sometimes people are even worried about mentioning a certain product as some may take it as promoting.

I obviously know that I shouldn't go around posting links randomly but do you have any advice past that for "forum marketing"?

Read the rules in advance to make sure you are allowed to post links to your site. Put a link in your signature, then forget about it. Contribute high quality information on a regular basis, and you'll be fine. I've noticed that the majority of my traffic from forums comes from posts when I contribute good content.

When I say "forget about your signature link", I mean, don't promote it in your posts. Just be a normal person. But by all means, split test your signature links to get a higher ctr.

The way most forums work, when you edit your siggie, it updates on all your posts. So methinks the rights approach is not to worry much about linking to another website (yours or affiliate) until you've built up your credibility with the forum readers. Focus on contributing good content and building up the traffic to your posts. Then one day you throw in the link et voila, here's your traffic.

Be aware that most forums have an assigned place in their site for articles. Make sure you follow forum rules when posting articles, so you don't get banned.
