    Multiple income streams

Look at different ways to generate income on line. Rather than try and reach $1000 from say Adsense it is much easier to break it down and look at earning 5x200 streams or 10x100 streams if that makes sense?

Personally I still haven't hit the $10 mark on my Adsense account. But then again, my "adsense" site has limited ads on it... tasteful yet understated.

As far as anyone making $1000 a month? Yep...quite doable even with just one site with affiliate marketing.

        Hi,

I just noticed this post after asking if making more than $1000 a month was worth teaching, I guess it is.

You need to find a group of people with a common interest (niche), try not to focus on the money initially. Once you have found a niche start providing any services or resources you can that meet their needs.

Break the niche down into smaller chunks and cater to each one unique needs, for example people looking to get their first dog, dog owners, dog trainers and dog breeders all have different requirements so focus on one group before moving into the other areas.

Try to think like the person with problem and then answer those problems with articles, tips, tutorials, videos and such.

Once you build a user base it's easy to monetize the site at a later date.

        People first, money second

      I completely agree.

Many people are making well over that, but it takes work to do. Its worth it.

One other thing I would add is something that I built my initial income around...a concept I call the power of numbers. The idea that many small results added up equals a large result. For example, if you find a system or method that makes you $0.50, yes 50 cents a day, jump for joy. If you replicate that system 60 times, voila you just reached your goal!

If you find a way to make $1 a day, try and replicate 100 times...and so on.

So multiple income streams AND use the power of numbers and youre good to go!

Bretski: I made one change on my adsense setup two weeks ago and my adsense is now performing above $100 per month.

OP: Getting to $1000 per month for me was in offering services.

I am now earning $1000 per month with information products, but I did not start that until I had valuable information to share.

The stuff baffles me, Bill. Honestly, I thought of ditching the site... selling it off like an ugly puppy. It's and article directory and it gets some traffic but the adsense clicks are pathetic.

OP: I don't do anything with the "make money online" niche... all my stuff is in other niches. I found that if you don't think you can do it you won't be able to... just put your head down and forge ahead.

Honestly, I think I was too stupid or stubborn or a combination of the two to know that I couldn't do this. Well, I was also pretty motivated so I just sort of did it. I didn't care about keyword research or seo or anything like that... I just used some common sense and bullheadedly moved forward. If it didn't work I stopped doing it. If it did work I kept on doing it and I added things... tweaked things... learned as I went and got better and better every week...

This can be done... and you can do this. $1000 a month isn't really a whole lot when you get right down to it.

Article directories are notoriously difficult to monetize. Not all of us can be EZA.

I have 3 article directories as you may know.

They have very different revenue models.

If you can attract visitors to the content, then you can make adsense revenue out the wazoo the way that EZA does. But few article directories have the pull on the consumer side that EZA does.

On thePhantomWriters, 90% of my traffic is consumers landing on articles.

At my other two directories, 95% of my traffic is authors placing articles. In the absence of consumers landing on the articles, you must realize that your audience is actually other Internet Marketers, i.e. article marketers.

Once you have made that transition in thinking, you take adsense off of your article directories (and in doing so, you can increase your value in the Adsense network and get better pay per click on your other sites).

Once you realize that you are selling to other IMers in the control panel area of the article directory, then you can advertise products and services only in the Authors' Control Panel, where you promote other products and services that IMers want to buy.

p.s. You cannot place adsense in any directory of your site that requires a password to access.

Many warriors having $1000 per month but only a few that honestly share in this forum. They all have the right to keep the secrets. :-)

Although there are a few share the secrets, only a little of warriors who take actions and achieve the $1000. :-)

A little hint that's worked for me...after I learned how to hit top spots on Google for myself a long time ago, I turned that into a business of helping other businesses. Local/Offline business, imo, is one of the fastest ways to get to well over 1k a month. There are a lot of products out on this topic...pick a few up and get cranking.

I have a friend/associate who's landed 3-4 clients and is doing over 4k a month (all clients on a yearly contract) simply using 3-4 tools for these clients that work like a charm. And to top it off, the most important part imo, is he's getting results for clients. His background? 35 years as a construction guy...he's no computer guru and doesn't claim to be one. I'd use myself as an example, but people go "But Sean, you've been making a living infront of a computer since the mid 80s...I'm not a computer guru like you are!" Hope this gives you some motivation, if you have an interested in this market segment.

Affiliate marketing is another way to reach this goal but it can take a little time to get up to 1k a month as it's a heavy momentum build. ...well unless you have a few K to spend on outsourcing for organic results AND PPC campaigns.

I am fairly close at some points. During the summer months I make the most money since I sell a lot of summery items and clothing. On my best months I hit close to $800 a month, but hopefully I will cross the $1000 milestone soon. Id say if you want to clear a balance like that, work with affiliate marketing, and make sure to focus on very specific, targeted niches.

Well I am earning $1000+ per month from Adsense placed on many websites. As bizwebstart suggested to use multiple streams. Well its not very difficult to earn $1000 from one website if it get ranked for any keyword with huge traffic.

$1000 a month is very do-able. My advice would be to find a proven system and stick to it until your making money.

Do not be distracted by the next shiny idea or sales copy. Stick at it with one method and don't give up until its earning.

IM to me is all new and I'm still learning. However, Last month I made £800 through adsense and I'm looking at around £1200 this month so it is definatly possible. My biggest tip is products have much better CTR.. My forums that get around 1000 uniques a day ahrdley make me anything. I'm still trying to find a way to make money with them..

I dont want to brag but i figured out my hourly income today over the last year and i made about $1600 per hour. However this is what my company brought in and does not reflect payroll or other expenses coming out. I bet if i took out expenses my real hourly income would be closer to .30 cents an hour lol
