I like and use Wildform Flair. It does cost and I do not use it for Youtube. I do teaching modules for health care facilities and use the very extensive video/converter capabilities to do presentations. You can download it for free to check it out.

It's not enough to want it... you have to want it enough.

You can use a site called Prezi. It is web-based and will allow you to import video, powerpoint slides, pdf, images, and just about anything. Really great tool for importing all kinds of media into your presentations.

      • If you're already using powerpoint, what more do you want? It doesn't get more professional than that.
Alternatively, you can check out animoto.com

If you're new to this, I'd recommend using Powerpoint as it's both pretty easy to use and professional looking as well. It's what many of the Gurus use when making videos, so it can't be all that bad, right?

If you have a Mac try Keynote, once you use it you'll throw away PowerPoint.

It's all of 20 bucks and it's awesome - think PowerPoint on steroids with the ability to do animation effect and to directly record HD video with a huge selection of CODECs.

Team it up with a copy of Final Cut Pro and you have an awesome video production combo.

Unfortunately it's not available for Windows or Linux so if you don't have a Mac you're out of luck.

Powerpoint with a mix of Camtasia (where I want to do a split screen of me and my presentation) with a sprinkle of Wacom tablet mixed in where I want to use a pen to highlight specific information.

You should use Camtasia and powerpoint. The best thing about powerpoint is you can integrate it with camtasia and have your presentation flow smoothly. Ive also hear good reviews about keynote and screenflow for those who own a mac.
