new vendor looking for tips/advice

We would LOVE to hear from the affiliate perspective

I would love to get feedback since you guys probably know what makes better conversion rates than other people do.

alvazan.com

is our site though I wonder if

alvazan.com/demo

should be our landing page. We are in the process of integrating with clickbank as a vendor. Met with one of the clickbank product managers last week. Any tips on how to enter the game would be great. this is our first internet launch. We have read lots of clickbank docs already.

thanks,
Dean

Stick with the main page as your landing - it is professionally written, laid out well, and doesn't look like it's just there to suck your money.

The demo page is just going to make people go 'What in the name of' and click elsewhere.

While normally the goal is to minimise the clicks needed for a customer to go, the demo page definitely needs some sort of background for people to understand what is about to occur when they go there - which is what the main page provides.

I dislike your product name, personally, though others may disagree.

I would suggest a clearer presentation of what the product actually is and does. I had to scroll down to find the "What is it" box and even after reading, I still had no clue. I'm sure that your video tells more, but I didn't stick around to watch it. Do you think that the other visitors would watch it just to find out what it is?

I suggest a better headline that pulls more on the emotions. Something like, "What if there was software that could..." Right now, your headline is "Join now for $5", which is useless if you don't know what the product is.

A golden rule is to never mention that you want money before the customer knows that he wants the product.

thanks much for the feedback!!! both of you.

yes, the 5$ thing was discussed with clickbank...I wanted to make it free 30 day trial(affiliates get a recurring income on the monthly fees after that which clickbank thankfully has a program for).

I am going to have to do more thinking/testing out some writing on the description of the product(I have done some testing with friends and sounds like you are right on needs better description so I will continue to test..test..test to optimize it).....hopefully I will get to the point of split testing sometime if I can get a minimum amount of traffic.

      thanks,
      Dean
