Do you have a system for forum marketing??

The rule of thumb I use is to make 4 to 5 post a day to about 3 forums. Any more than that will suck up too much of my time. Some people post to as many as 10 or more forums a day. You basically want to get in and get out otherwise you can easily spend 6 hours trying to get your post done. It's not a good method for the easily distracted so if you are disciplined enough, I say go for working on a strategy.

Even though I have not invested time in learning how to use forum posting software, there are 3 that have been rated well by many users if you want to give them a try. I will list them in the order of highest rating.

1. Forum Plus 2.0
2. Forum Poster 1.0
3. Forum Buzz 1.01

There is no rule of thumb or system when it comes to forum marketing for me. I just contribute to the forum and participate in the discussion. Here are some rules i have though:

1. Read the rules
2. Don't use a fancy software that might get you banned
3. Don't think about traffic or money. Just participate in the discussion and be passionate about the topic and if you do that money and traffic will come real soon.

I also do that. having several post within a day can be very helpful for you as a business owner. this will help your link be indexed and have greater traffic online.

By starting threads asking those types of questions you start
right out positioning yourself as someone who doesn't know the
answers.

If you later jump in claiming to have a solution you will be seen
as having baited the participants or as a phony trying to capitalize
on someone else's work.

I've made lots of money in forums... not so much the Warrior forum
because I don't choose to play in the make money online guru game.
Nothing wrong with that... I just think there are already plenty to
choose from.

I've done it by focusing on a subject in which I can be seen as a
legitimate expert. I don't start threads... I look for threads asking
question about the subject. I answer each question fully and
completely to the best of my knowledge, experience and belief.
I don't hold anything back or tease anyone with any advertising
come-ons. I just give them the info they need.

Eventually, I become known as the go-to guy on the forum for that
subject. I may then put a link in my sig file if it's allowed or I may
straight up announce that I have a product that provides all the info
in one easy to use reference guide so they don't have to spend time
searching the forum for all the answers.

That works for me but does require some degree of patience as you
develop your presence on the forum. If you have that kind of patience
you can be an "overnight" success when you introduce a product.

One example... I spent 6 months establishing myself as an expert
on an industry specific forum (an industry in which I had great knowledge).
When I finally released my product I made just over $20K in the first
two days and more than $100K over the course of the next 5-6 months
from that one product. That's not Frank Kern money but I was pretty
pleased with the results... LOL

The system i use for forum marketing is having my signature in place at every forum i participate and then visit daily to post useful and unique comments and posts

Most who participate in forums, if 100% honest with themselves, would likely admit that most of their reason for being there is some sort of marketing purpose. For me, I sincerely enjoy contributing and learning while also building those all important backlinks that forum posting can provide. With that being said, the best "system" for forum marketing is making sincere and meaningful posts.
