Freelance Article Writers and Ghostwriters - Check this Out

No affiliation.

They offer a wide variety of services through different sites.

I also did a little googling and found some interesting customer
and peer feedback related to the quality of their work and their
claims.

Though, this isn't the place to reveal what was said.

Bottom line: if they can charge this much, then you can at least
demand a fraction of their fees and make a decent income.

That is, of course, if you know how to write or outsource to quality
writers.

Wow! I can understand paying big money for outstanding copywriters with excellent conversion rates, but damn I wish I could charge that much!

Actually, what they are calling SEO Copy is the same
as what we would consider regular web content or
      articles.

So, it's not copywriting as we know it.

And you can charge that much or a large percentage
of it with the right strategy and some patience.

I'm no Jack Trout but it's all about serving markets who
can pay those types of fees and positioning yourself
      correctly.

For instance, you can be the writer who enables your clients to...

      I love this forum.

It was the first to introduce me to a whole new world that I had a feeling existed
all along; even though, I had no proof.

As writers, you need to be careful because around here content
writing has little worth in many eyes.

Like me, you too can easily fall into the trap of actually believing it.

Serve markets that not only can afford your worth but who need
people like you to continue to prosper.

Position yourself in a unique way.

      Add to your portfolio.

They will supply you with more work than you can handle.

Then outsource your growing work load to qualified employees.

      Invest your earnings.

K Rondo, I definitely agree here. A rich portfolio, unique position, outsourcing, and re-investment are four very crucial success principles.

Seriously? $150 for a 250-word SEO article? Their ghostwriters must be PhD holders or New York Times bestselling authors to command such exorbitant price. I wish I can afford that!

I charge $1 per word when I write for magazines (that's about industry standard with a high circulation publication).

That is industry standard for magazines.

Some pay $2.50/wd; I can only imagine the competition between
writers that submit to those publications.

If you have a celebrity expert status or are good enough to write for
a high end merchant (think super-luxury real estate in London), then
you can probably negotiate more than $2.50/wd (content not copywriting).

However, the prices listed on the site I referenced in the OP are for
website content and web articles. The same kind that many are willing
to write for 2-5 dollars per 250 words.

Maybe you should create a product for freelance writers about how
to get higher paying clients. Apparently, you have the credibility.

      Happy Thanksgiving
