Why Some Warriors Are Successful And Other NOT!??

by celente 46 replies
The other day, I came in here and saw people asking why warriors are successful and why others are not.

Well I put it down to a few things. But There are many friendships that I have made in here that are priceless. I do make a full time online, but the guys I learn from are even more successful than me. That is who I need to learn more from, and you too.

To be serious for a sec...I have noticed all these guys have many things in common. I just try to model them, and their attitudes.

You will notice that all of them have these in common.

1) They constantly take action. Yes its easier said than done. How many times have you come in here, looked at your watch and said ok, just 1 more hour. Next time you look down you see it is 4pm and you have done nothing. You have read all this great info and done nothing with it.

If you are trying to make money online and hurting financially, if you are not taking action you must not be hurting bad enough. How many times do you see in here, people making their first sale. They are not whiney, they are happy, but only because of one thing. Taking ACTION!. As the saying goes ACTION BREEDS RESULTS!

2) These guys realize there is no push button make $5000 by tomorrow solutions to making money online. If you do sit down with yourself and learn to take action, you will fast realize you have to be patient. Things take time, and lots of hard work. If you think there is a fast answer to becoming a guru, or making $100k each month, then this game is not for you. The people that come in here and say "OMG i need 2000 dollars by next week" or "House if foreclosing - Need 3234 dollars by next week!" I would say that kind of stuff is impossible. If it was possible, it would only be for a select few, and ironically only for people who take constant action.

3) These guys focus on one thing at a time. How many time do you hear people say. I have 10 websites that are not making me money!!??. These guys have a plan for one website from day one. They build them, stay focused, put their blinkers on so to speak and do not let any distractions get in there way.

How many times have you been trying to do 7 things, 7 websites each day? everything ends up getting muddled, and by the end of the month you have not really done much work at all have you?

It gets repeated to us, time and time again, yet we done listen. You will not last long in this IM game if you have ADHD and cant focus on one thing at a time!!

4) They dont give up! Lets just say they are designing a blog, or a html page or something technical. They are failing, well they dont throw their hands up. They go to someone to outsource it, they know and realize they can do a better job anyway. If you get to a rough point, dont just throw away all the hard work you just did, and give up. Work out three ways on how you can get past your hurdles when you come to them. HIRE someone else, get advice from a guru, call up customer support if it is a product you are having problems with. Do sit and sulk, do something about it.

These guys never sit and do nothing, they try to resolve problems when they arise the same day.

5) They go to where the money is being spent. You can have someone tell you to follow your passion and design your business around your passion. But if your hobby and passion only has about 30 people following it, then there is no money in it. Find where people are spending money. The hot trends, google trends, what is hot in IM forum talk and cater to their needs. These guys seem to do this well. They understand that if you go to where the money is already flowing and put your ad and product infront of these hungry little critters you have already won half the battle. They find the hungry crowd first, then think about how they design something better than their competitors. something more unique and branded better.

5) These guys have KICK ASS products and or services. They spend time and hard earned money developing things that ACTUALLY WORK! who would have thought? LOL

Too many marketers focus on how to make big big BIG money. When that is not the key to having success in your business. YOU should be asking questions like "What ways can I serve these customers better" or "what is the best way to solve this particular problem"

They do not just throw something together or a WSO because they need or want the money fast. That is not the key, How many times have you seen that. People expect to have a product, that is killer up and running, getting traffic and yet no one talks about it. That is because it sucks. There are alot of products out there these days. TO be good, you have to be better than just ok, in fact you have to be "WHOA, GOD DAMN YOUR ARE KILLER MATE!"....and give alot away to your subscribers, and get lots of traffic for things to snowball.

But if you have a great product in place, then this whole snowballing process will happen automatically. Instead of you going and finding affiliates....they come to you and tell you things like "hey Your products is awesome I want to be your affiliate" That is right people hunt you down and send you traffic to your pages, and do the work for you. Not the other way round! Now doesnt that sound nice.

6) These guys do not quit. I can tell you If I did, i would be lying in some gutter with a stinking cat. And divorced. But I told my wife to trust me, and she gave me a time limit. I complied and took serious action. Each day I did something that got me closer to my goal. I showed her the results...so that she didnt think I was moping around the house!

These guys are the same, they never give up. Even if something goes terribly wrong for them, they shrug it off....and go onto the next thing.

I guess i have left out a lot here. But I am sure you get the jist of it. There is not magic formula to making money online, just hard work, constant action and a little bit of luck and ingenuity.

I hope this helps some of you out there asking this question, and helps you start to make some good money, so you can give the boss the flick.

If you think I have missed something out, or something that has made you into a better marketer go ahead and post it below.....

Nice post. I have noticed that a lot of these motivational threads are mostly the same, just with a personal twist to them. People need to realize (myself included) that if you work hard enough, good things will come. Just like anything else in life, you get what you put in.

Yes, please note I am not pulling one person out of the crowd.

i think we are all guilty of doing these things from time to time....we all have families, and things that get in our road.

I suffered alot from being in here in the warrior room, with 12 cans of coke, and going on a info fed crazy IM weirdo binge for 5 hours a day.....but that was back in the day. LOL

But now I act on that info, and use like a smarter approach, 20% reading and 80% action. Seems like a good mix to me. Works pretty well.

Was that a necessary comment? Does it ever occur to people like you that some of us REALLY do not like words like that? It makes my stomach turn, especially because of my faith. Using gd is never called for or necessary, especially in a public forum.

I get sick and tired of the gutter language people increasingly use. Internet marketers, more so every day, use just about every bad language word possible. They throw around the "f" word in their seminars. They sling them around in their emails. I can't even listen to a webinar from some of the popular gurus without being treated to a variety of crappy language, including sh**, da**, he**, etc.

    WHY?!?

You will NEVER lose sales by speaking simple English without the trash talk. You WILL, however, lose some respect and some sales by wallowing in the gutter, where you apparently think we all live.

Color me prude; I don't care. Not every one gets off on gutter talk. To some of us, it's repulsive and detracts from anything else you say.

Before some of you unload on me, I do not advocate censoring the internet or sending in the language Nazis, which people like me get accused of whenever we don't like to read peoples' posts with vile language. It just gets harder to go anywhere online without in-your-face language anymore.

    However...

NOTE TO MARKETERS: Market to me like I (or you) live in the gutter and I will buy nothing from you!

p.s. Have I used enough "mad" faces yet?

Do I really need to say anything more?

Ron, settle down for a moment. This was a metaphor, and in no way was 'gutter language' as you so eloquently put it. For someone so sensitive of religious issues, should you really be using the term 'language nazis' in your post?

On the internet, one must learn to set religious differences aside - 'god damn' is used nearly everywhere in this day and age and is part of common language (unlike some of your other choices of offensive language). It is a phrase which can be used in a myriad of different ways both negatively and positively.

While you might see it as 'gutter talk', I would ask you to practise tolerance of it - for most do not see it that way and showing your displeasure of it as you have does not make you look like a prude at all...merely a close minded bigot.

Yes ron, Bane thanks!!! you are right, and that is why I did not respond.

Online No one is different, we are all equals online.

I do not class one race or religion or color as more special than the others....we are all individual human beings. I accept that you are a christian, I have no problem with that, so there is no reason to get antsy at at my language (which is nothing more like than slang)

If you do not lilke it, do not complain just move along to another forum, plain and simple.

Some of us are just as offended by the casual use of the word 'Nazis', but for the most part when all is said and done the more mature approach is to realise that in an international forum full of people from a huge range of cultures and beliefs, there is always a chance that someone will unintentionally offend, and that our reactions to it can say a lot too.

Back to the topic at hand, all I'd add is that another characteristic of the successful is the ability not to form an attachment to plans and ideas, adapting or abandoning them promptly in favour of something else when it's evident from testing that they're not working, rather than wasting time trying to breathe life into them or sitting back and complaining of failure.

A quality post yet again. I am really warming toy our contributions. It's no coincidence that you are successful.

I recall reading that there are no secrets... all the concepts have been around for years. The key is to find something your good at and stick with it.

Too many threads on here asking the best or quickest way to make a set amount of $$$.

Reality is that you focus on your first $ then replicate it over and over again.

Anyways... thanks for the share. Hopefully the noobs will actually read this thread and let your comments sink in.

LOL I'll probably never succeed then. I have severe ADHD. It effects most of what I do. I was working on 20 websites at once at one point . . . then I became overwhelmed and narrowed it down to 3 . . . and now 2 other projects have just managed to creep up on top of those other 3.

Maybe I should make next month's goal to work on just 1 and see how that pans out. I make money from most of what I do . . . but I'd probably be able to make more money faster if I devoted all of my time to building up one thing at a time instead of spreading my time out and growing everything slowly.

Trust me when i say, i did this and saw massive results almost instantly after going to mike filsaime event.

do one thing, get it done, coool, then onto the next.

Try it, you will be suprised at how much you actually get done by the end of the week / month.

Oh I'm always a busy little bee. I've definitely never lacked in the taking action department. I've already spent 4 hours submitting articles today.

I just have a hard time focusing on only one project because I worry that the one project I choose to focus on will be a failure. I guess I don't really like to keep all of my eggs in one basket. I make a little money with most of what I do. But I'd much rather make a lot of money working on one thing.

There's one project that I just started on that I'd really like to give a good go at, so perhaps I'll focus on that one for a month straight all by itself and see what kind of results I get. Hopefully it won't irk me too much to put the other ones on the back burner.

    Great post!

If Internet Marketing is for you then you need to be able to encourage yourself. You need to get a lot of work done.

You have to be able to motivate yourself and ignore all the potential obstacle in your home. Yes, working from your home and being your own boss are 2 great benefits of Internet Marketing. However, they can also be major hindrance or disadvantage . You need to be able to put the distractions aside and you need to be able to work hard if you really want to succeed.

Yes, the best thing I did was unsubscribe from all the spamming gurus out there and only stick to people list like jason fladlien, and frank kern and a few others.

I study them, and buy their stuff, because it is good, but to study the sales funnel that they are using, OTO, upsells, downsells etc etc.

They are smart blokes that should be listened to. yes there are other guys other there that are good, and like I said my warrior friend, but the next time you go surfing off reading emails, and offers think to yourself.......is this really helping building my business?? If the answer is no, put it away and go do something more constructive.

      Cheers

    Other members are successful because:
If you ask me it's because of number one rule, they don't give up. I know that because it happen to me when I started to do affiliate marketing 4 years ago I was brand new and I wanted to make 10k a month from start lol boy I often look back and laugh at my self. When that didn't happen I gave up, for two weeks I kept thinking what happen how can I make this work, then I started again but with different approach I took one project at a time and then I moved on to the next one. Then I made my first sale, $9.00 lol but that 9 bucks was so much to me and it gave me a lot of new ideas and energy to work even harder. You have to understand something if you work from home, this is still business and it will take some time before you'll see some money rolling in and don't give up.

I work an hour a day because of ADHD probs, but I think I'm doing pretty well. Need to focus on the profitable stuff during that hour and delegate tasks to someone else you cant focus on.

Great post as always, Celente. You outline the requirements to reach success in IM very well, and this is definitely required reading for anyone starting out!

The journey to success will not always be pleasant or fun, and there will be times when you will truly feel like giving up. You need to have your "why" firmly entrenched in your mind and subconscious, because this is probably the only thing that will give you the strength and fortitude to overcome the natural impulse to give up during those difficult times.

This is not a game or hobby, and you need to want this success almost as badly as you want to breathe or eat. It'll consume you at times, but that is a good thing because without that fire you'll not be able to go the distance in your IM journey!

Sadly, too many are seduced by the easy money marketing aspect. So their expectations are inflated.

I recall learning how cheap and nasty was good, because it made you look like one of the common folk... but I wonder if this was simply a way of overcoming objections from noobs who were not technically minded.

As far as the point about delivering quality... i think that too many chase the buck and treat customers like credit cards. It's no coincidence that your rewards are contingent on the value you deliver.

It gets back to losing the scarcity mentality in favor of a service mentality.

The successful people I have had the privilege to work with focus on the customer.. not the money.

I have just been talking to another warrior this morning. I was more like a brainstorming session. He has just doubled his membership income just in the last 4 months by visiting a seminar and getting up and speaking.

But he said the more money will come from the the hard work he puts in offline, and networking. I guess i didnt cover that, but its an important part of business. If you do not have a list the quickest way to get one (sort of) is to use someone else's, but first make contact and become friends.....

just like jason moffatt and frankie boy kern did back in the day. Think about how much money jason moffatt made just because he was able to leverage off frank kern.

Just one example on how you can use leverage, and experience its raw power in this game.

Celente, your friend is absolutely right. You never know who you'll be speaking to about what you do, and if you connect with the right people who have the right networks and lists of people who may be beneficial for your business, a simple 20 minute conversation could end up making you thousands of dollars.

Networking is especially important if you're marketing to local businesses. The more you get out there and talk, the higher the chances are of striking a blockbuster deal (or even multiple ones).

I wrote a similar post a while back. Here it is again...

What separates the struggling 70% from the successful 10%?

(those other 20% are just doing okay)

I've been chatting with many bloggers, webmasters and internet marketers (successful and unsuccessful) over the years. I have found:

(note: most of my money is made from blogging and outside of the internet marketing niche, mostly consumer orientated stuff, so my views may be a little skewed as a result of my bi model)

    - Most have been doing it for a long time. Usually two years or more. I don't think I've ever met anyone personally making decent money who's only been involved in online ventures for under a year. But the time doing it doesn't always bring success, other qualities seem common too.

    - Before they started to make money they never had (or lost) the obsession with wondering if they could make money. They either just went out a did it for fun with a strong passion for their niche, or knew in their own mind they could make money from this if they tried hard enough.

    - They are not obsessed with SEO and recognize that content is what matters in an online publishing business. They have a much better understanding and focus on providing value than those who struggle with blogging.

    - While not obsessed with SEO, they'll most often have a good understanding of the main principles.

    - They are not looking for the next SEO trick or get rich quick scheme. These are just distractions. Instead they focus on building a real and sustainable business rather than jumping from trick to trick. Sure they may use tricks and advanced strategies to help their business, but they see them for what they are, and not money making traffic, pumping miracles.

    - They've stuck with one idea or one site, and focused heavily on that, rather than jumping from one idea to the next. Typically they have spent over a year developing and promoting one site as their main project.

    - The ones pulling in the biggest cash have typically outsourced some areas of their business, usually writing.

    - They know their niches well. If they now own multiple sites, there is usually one key site which was their first success, and they know the niche of this site extremely well.

    Does this describe you?

Good post, Celente. I would like to add that successful warriors have a plan. They don't just say, "OK, I am going to work on project X for the next three weeks." Instead, they have a map of exactly what they are going to do each day with project X.

Knowing what you have to do and getting it done is a lot easier with a plan. You can start with a simple checklist of things that you need to accomplish. This will help those with attention problems stay focused. If you can cross one thing off of your checklist before taking that smoke break, watching TV, or whatever, then you at least know that you have accomplished something.

My advice is to put that checklist on paper and not on a text file or or file that you will simply save and never open again. Use a pen and paper and keep it right beside your computer. That way it is always staring you in the face and you can't minimize it or close the program.

I find that a good tool to use is a plain whiteboard. You can easily erase and edit items in your checklist and plan as needed, and you can also place it very prominently around your computer so that you're constantly seeing it all the time.

Yes I know a lot of people in the WF use Gmail. But I spent a whole day just working my way round and know it like the back of my hand.

You have some great points there, and i use gmail and use the calendar and notes function. Its sorts your day out and puts a too do list up. You can add stuff to your list, move it up and down the list, and sort by a due date. How cool is that! That way as you get stuff done you can delete / cross off / edit and you can also give yourself deadlines which means you are not prone to sit and relax. It kind of eggs you on, and stops your from procrastination.

If you use gmail at, look at utilizing these functions in your day to day marketing and learn how to use them. They are damn fantastic.

I used to write business plans for clients (I have a degree in accounting, and I've attended a business school). In my personal life,I've always achieved more when I have a map (plan).I'm surprised business planning is not an aspect that receives a lot of attention online. Most treat IM like a hobby... and they get a fitting reward.

    It's a BUSINESS.

    Thanks OP and E.B. Rose.

I realize the biggest contributor to my current success is focus. Somewhere in this forum I learn about what I called '3 Things' Rule. What it means is that everyday you focus on 3 things that directly impact your business (or making money). If you can do that every day, you will succeed.

So I am doing just that, everyday I will do 3 things that directly impact my business. he key is to finish all 3 on the same day, no roll overs, no excuses.

Don't forget the 80/20 principle too. You want to spend 80% of your time on activities in your business that will bring you results, not the other way around.

Whenever I tell my friend I made money online. They all want to jump in the bandwagon and asked me to teach them to do the exact same way. I mean, common? It came from experience and you can't just teach someone making money over night lol

    Hi Celente,

I loved your post - it had some sound advice although I too am one of those people who are doing a dozen things at once. I used to think it was me simply "multi tasking" but then I watched a video that pointed out that when I was trying to do too much, too often, I wasn't appreciating the moment, and nor was I putting in 100% effort into everything I did - because I was always thinking of something else at the time.

So what I do now is slightly different to what I used to do before: Before I used to have "to do" lists and they would be huge - as fast as i was ticking one thing off, I was adding two more things to the bottom. So now I have a 'done' list instead - in my diary I write down everything I have done that day - I have found it has made me a lot more accountable to myself; I do focus on one thing at a time and I get a lot more done. Must be my competitive spirit having the need to see the diary page full by the end of the day

    Have a great day
    Lisa

      Wow lisa,

excellent. Back in the good old days I too use to think working on 4 websites a day was best. But then quickly realised that you need to do one, then move onto the next.

I woke up straight away....and realised the amount of work you do if you sit on one site and work on just that for a whole week straight. It sounds silly, but you get more work done, and you get it done quicker.

I am amazed that many people are talking about this. So I hope these tips do help you to realise, stop multitasking, and sticking to one thing and one thing only.
