emails/from your host?

I am about to purchase a hosting package and the Add emails to the order came up and I got to wondering what do most people do with their autoresponders

If you have a niche blog for one of your pen names, do you use the email for that domain for your 'autoresponders' for example name@yourdomain.com

Before I buy it, and I miss out on bulk savings I thought I would ask this ( hopefully not silly ) question.

    Honestly, wait for Hostgators black friday sales, get a reseller account on the yearly plan - something like 70-80% off. They all come with email etc. (other benifits like been able to sell off indivual accounts/sites without much fuss etc)

    If you get hosting with cPanel for a control panel (and probably others) you can add your own emails any time you want.

      If I understand your question.... yes, it is an excellent idea to match an autoresponder email address to your brand and/or the product you are offering.

      Even if your domain name is different, give the email an address people will identify like, freetrafficreport@whatever.com and freeaffiliatereport@whatever.com.

      Two reasons for doing this-- 1) Helps your customer remember what they signed up for. Some forget. 2). Helps you identify specific reports, good if you have many.

      My opinion is that it gets messy if you try to use one email address for everything. Set up your email client (Outlook or whatever) so that messages automatically go into different folders. Use a specific address for "business" related topics.

      Most hosting services offer 5-50 email addresses in a package, so having a system like this is not usually a problem.
