Catching Dropped Domain

I have seen my perfect domain name for my project im working on and it is already registered.

but, as fate would have it, it is due for renewal in 4 days time.

Is there something I can do to try and snatch this domain / ensure I am the one to get it if owner does not renew in time?

It is a .com.

    You can put it on backorder - but there will be a forgiveness period where they can still renew it after the fact.

    Most places like above allow you to put in a backorder BUT if others as ewll put in a back order for the same domain alot of times depending on who is able to catch it it will go to an auction and battle it out.
