Article marketing works, why ditch it?

But be willing to use more than one method to push traffic to your website.

right now i have been doing this for 2 days. i am doing everything myself.. from writing articles, and posting them to site like associated content, eza, squidoo. i just dont know what other ways to promote this.. i have been reading alot on here and there is tons of information. i am planning to join more forums and regularly posting on them so that i can get more traffic. i just dont know how i should be promoting my affiliate products. is it just a matter of them being on my site and getting traffic to get any results.

      thanks for all the replys

Well I appreciate for your efforts but sorry to say but like other new comers you also want every thing on one night, I know after reading so different methods on forums it's natural that mind going here or there, what to do first etc. but be patient, stick what you are doing slowly, keep reading and try other things also gradually.

To help you, I have to ask:

How are you connecting the articles to your monetization method?

Which sites do you use to submit your articles to?

How many articles have you submitted?

Have you tried any other back linking methods?

Article marketing is very time consuming and the traffic is not guarantee if you don't target the right keyword. It will take a while before you can even see some traffics.

Getting traffic from article marketing is time consuming and you can't just get traffic overnight from writing some articles. That is why a lot of people quit, because they learn of the ways to drive traffic to their website and think that they just have to do it and the next day they should have a bunch of traffic and sales. But that mindset won't help you succeed, only the understanding that doing a number of methods in necessary and a little time until you can see results. Article marketing is still included in the top methods for getting traffic, and there is a reason for that, it does work. You just have to improve on your article marketing strategy and see what the results are

Also, it saves you lots of money. The down side is the traffic come in at much slower rate.

thanks for the positive advice. i have had nearly 50 visitors to my site and trust me i was super stoked about that i dont know why i got so excited, but i thought it was awesome that that many people have looked at my work.. it is inspiring...i was just making sure that my topic was not already going to be saturated. i think that i am starting to understand that i just need to put in time, white articles and research other ways to get traffic to my website...

If you are tired of writing and submitting articles, then outsource the work... Make sure you target keywords related to your affiliate product and definitely bookmark using Onlywire/ping fm.

Truth is, 2 days is nothing. A normal gauge of the number of visitors you get should be done on a weekly or even monthly basis.

Article marketing is great and cost effective. If you're doing it on your own I agree it can be a bit tiring so you can outsource if you can afford it. A lot of virtual assistants can get you quality articles published every day at a monthly rate.

Also try social bookmarking, another great way to get traffic. And posting on forums like these.

    Let us know what happens.

    Best,

    Hi there,

I liked your site; it is simple and clean and informative. I think two days is too short a time to be wondering if it doesn't work - you need to be posting articles everyday if possible to help build up traffic, and yes the keyword side of things is really important too.

Don't forget you can also use press releases, blog commenting, forum posting (which you are doing here, but on weight loss sites or more generic sites where your target market is hanging out; a facebook fan page and things like that.

Just keep building on what you are doing and you will see results

    Best of luck
    Lisa

    As most people have advised, article marketing is good, but you need to expand your options. I do the following in a mass scale and get very good results;

    Article Marketing
    High PR Blog Comments
    High PR Gov/Edu Backlinks
    Profile Linking
    Forum Backlinks
    Web 2.0 Backlinks & Linkwheels

i know that i should probibly know this by now but what is PR.

by profile backlinking, does that mean that my article sites point back to my blog because i am currently doing that.

Also not sure what High PR Gove/Edu backlinks are

PR is google page rank. Some sites have a higher page rank and deemed as more important to google, if you can get some high pr backlinks they are often regarded as more important than low or no pr websites.

Profile links are simply links from profiles you create on good forums, these are easy to create but I wouldn't spend all your time on them because things like article marketing and web 2.0 are usually better investments for your time.

You can see the backlinks ratio I use on all of my sites to produce amazing results (seojuice.net)

Gov/edu links are simply backlinks from .gov and .edu websites. Getting some decent gov/edu backlinks can work wonders for your seo efforts.
