What traffic generation model you like BEST?

Lots of traffic generation model out there, and that often cause some confusion.

In your opinion, what kind of traffic generation is still number 1 for you to use?

You can only pick one for this question
  1. SeO
  2. ppc
  3. media buying
  4. forum marketing
  5. free facebook traffic
  6. free twitter traffic
  7. viral marketing
  8. article marketing
  9. etc [any other?]
thx
#generation #model #traffic

As you mentioned "#1 Seo" so SEO for me is #1

You can have a 20-30 % conversion rate if you rank for a good long tail keyword

For example, if you rank first for "how to get your ex back" is much much better than ranking for "get your ex back" because the visitor in the first scenario is looking for a how to guide / ebook and wont mind pulling his credit card and paying

SEO is and will be king for ultra hyper targeted visitors

I guess I have to choose the Etc. My main traffic generating method is article writing and marketing. I’m a good writer. Therefore, writing is my best tool.

Of course, everything in your list is very important, and part of my business plan.

I rather buy ads from targeted blogs and forums. Paying forums to blast out a message is also something I do. Getting JV partners is key.

SEO is always good, I think.

Nothing like topping the SERPs for a multitude of niche-relevant keyword phrases, for bringing in automated, on-going traffic that converts into clicks and/or sales (and/or opt-ins), and ultimately, wads of "bees and honey".

I used to do a bit of PPC years ago, and made some good money from it (in conjuction with small landing pages with product and service reviews, for which I was an affiliate), but that landscape (at least as far as Google goes) seems to have changed almost beyond recognition now, what with quality scores and tighter restrictions, etc. Haven't touched it for a long time.

Straight backlink-building and article writing/marketing are pretty much the order of the day for me, these days.

I think a lot of our answers are defined by the niche's that we operate in. In a food and wine environment, buying ads on a forum isn't going to get me anything other than some people looking for wine reviews (not helpful as a revenue model).

IM is probably the easiest in regard to finding JV partners because of forums like this one which are incredibly active and helpful in that regard.

Agreed- for me depends on the niche.

Overall though, SEO and JV partners work best for me.

Forum marketing can be super effective. However, the #1 traffic generation strategy is building a list of buyers (people who buy something from you). You can market to these people over and over again at minimal cost to yourself.

I like the model that brings me the most amount of subscribers and sales.

WHO, what where why and how?

just go and hang out and put your ads in the faces of people who are your most likely prospect..... forums, blog comments, etc... and have a bit of fun with it.. The more relaxed you are the better your ads will be, and create curiosty.

Get your prospects thinking, hmmmm I better have a look at this. Get more beady little eyes looking at your stuff and you will be sure to succeed.

To answer that question you'd have to define what you mean by SEO.

I look at SEO as two major strategies:

      # 1: Having high quality, highly targeted content on pages of a website optimized for various keyword phrases.

      # 2: Getting links back to those pages from sites the search engines trust.

In many cases that will be sites that also have highly targeted, high quality content so you'll often have to submit content in various forms to those sites to get your backlinks.

The by product of high quality content on other sites is that it can send you traffic directly from those sites too.

So I look at facebook, youtube, article marketing, forum marketing, online press releases etc all as SEO with the byproduct of producing some extra traffic to a site as well.

So my second preference for getting traffic would be SEO as I've described above.

My first preference would be a joint venture with someone who has a highly targeted list of buyers in the niche I have a product to sell.

      Kindest regards,
      Andrew Cavanagh

Most people I speak to consider those to be 2 distinctly different things.

        1 = SEO

2 = SEM (search engine marketing)

That seems to make sense to them as a way to approach those 2 elements separately. I'm happy to accept that because they pay me to do SEM all the time, whereas the SEO only needs doing when they create content.

yes, it's always like that with SEO. the key about SEO is the psychological side of the keyword we're trying to rank for.

a keyword with lots of traffic is just not enough to get some targeted traffic, because we have to synchronize the keyword, landing page, and the offer.
