Things That Have Changed in the Past Year

For various reasons, I haven't been able to be as involved in IM as I would've liked to be. Now that I'm "coming back," it feels like I'm starting all over again. The knowledge is still there, it just needs dusting off.

Anyway, I know how quickly things can change in the world of IM. So, how would you say things have changed in the past year? What things that were working well before aren't working so well now, and vice versa? And what's new, big things have come along in the last few months?

      It's this sort of stuff that can make you break out in cold sweats.

      The up-side is that, even when some stuff stops working, something new that does work comes along at about the same time. You just have to keep on top of things.
