Hi,

maybe i should post this under 'Programming' but because i dont have 20 post i can't.

So i'm looking for software (web based or offline) which can help me manage multiple sites from one dashboard (or at least to help out login between accounts). I use Wordpress in 90% cases if that have some to do.

Thanks

With love from Slovenia :-))

  • To be honest I had never heard of software that does this. So I did a search on google and found a firefox plugin called ScribeFire. You add your blogs to the library, write a post and then post it to the blogs you want. There is also Windows Live Writer, and Qumana. Its a good question because once you have multiple sites it can become quite a chore.
I just ended up getting a re-seller hosting account so I can create a separate cpanel account for each of my sites. That doesn't really make it any easier, but it does allow me to give an employee access to just one site instead of all of my sites like it was when I had a regular hosting account with add on domains. I like having each of my sites on a different account. Personal preference I guess.

WSO at http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...autoblogs.html might help you. This WSO is now closed but it does not hurt to check with the owner.

Thanks both for answers but i still didnt find what i was looking for :-(

Of course i serched before that in google and found some useless plugins for wordpress and some scammy sites ;-)

Anyway i'm wondering how some other user manage their sites if they had like 50 or more active web pages?
Right now i have about that amount of pages which I modify it at least once in 10 days (every page). And it takes creepy long time to login in all seperatly.

And yes i want to join War room. Is there any discount on thih holidays hehe

    Cool.

I found it a couple months ago and started using it a bit, but I've been busy working on some other projects so I haven't fully dug into yet.

    Hopefully it works out.

I try it now on three blogs and works fine! It's just what I need!

      BUT

Really shame that it's not (yet) self hosted application :-(

I heard for Vladimir before, from some his ebook and actualy he is living quite close from me and I know he is respected online'r, but problem is why would anyone serious give username and passwords to some third-party?? There are big numbers in the back of some blogs/communitys...

Its really shame because tool in GREAT! Many webmasters and company will pay nice amount for that app. without hesitation!

I will contact him anyway about the project...

      See ya later WF

I know this thread is a little bit old now but I was doing a search for "manage multiple sites" in Google and found this.

I wanted to let everyone know I had just launched an application called "Super Site Manager" and it does just this - it manages multiple sites with the use of a template and token system all under one interface. You can find it by doing a search on Google for the product name.

I hope this doesn't come across as spam as I do want to contribute to this forum and apologize that this is my first post, but I did see this as an opportunity to let others know since I thought there was a need for this product and why I had it developed for me.

Let me know if there are any questions. Thanks!

There are a lot of tools out there that can do this for you and depeneding on the power you want. Here are a few we have used in the past:

    WP Robot Control Center
ManageWP (Excellent and free right now)
    WP-Direct
    WPManagerDX

The key to success with any of these is true automation. However, getting one optimized setup and cloning it for all your other sites is ideal. That way all the core and plugins are the same and it makes management that much easier.

    All the best

    Sean

For non-WordPress sites, I use Dreamweaver. You can create, test and FTP all from within the program. You can even create Wordpress sites with Dreamweaver.
