addon domains and subdomains

I just created an addon domain on cpanel and I see a subdomain was also created for the main domain.
I had: maindomain.com and I added seconddomain.net and now I have seconddomain.maindomain.com too. That means that if I create a blog on seconddomain.net, google will start to rank seconddomain.maindomain.com too?

In robots text, disallow Google bot from indexing .seconddomain.maindomain.com. Do your backlinking, social bookmarking to the seconddomain.net only.

(When installing WP or any CMS, install to seconddomain.net, not the sub-domain.)

    Hi

I think that's just the way Cpanel handles addon domains internally. It always creates a sub-domain too.

But the subdomain won't work or get indexed by Google unless you create a DNS record for it (ie. specify where seconddomain.maindomain.com should point to). Which is fine, because you only want seconddomain.com to be used.

CPanel already created a redirection to soconddomain.net and the seconddomain.maindomain.com works just fine.

Depends on the host, so good. Makes it easy.

          I use hostgator.

I installed to seconddomain.net but the seconddomain.maindomain.com works too.
I disabled redirection for it but it still works. I tried to delete it but it can be removed only with the addon domain too.

Should leave the redirect. It will re-direct the bots as well. then seconddomain.maindomain.com WILL work but in the addy bar will be seconddomain.net

You can check with support, but most large hosts and search engines understand using subs as secondary domains and if you don't remove anything will work out of the box and not index the sub-domain. There may even be a disallow in .HTaccess instead of robots.txt. Me thinks you are over thinking this.
