How to get entertainment contents to my websites without breaking any copyright laws?

Hi,
I'm planning social websites that with some parts are little bit like blog type of and they would need for example lots of entertainment contents; images, news stories, celeb stuff etc etc. Just like for example the popular entertainment and fashion blogs have. But the problem is I don't know how to get this content without breaking any copyright laws..
Could you guys help me and give me some guidance? For example; I've done advertising campaigns in Blogads.com for my cpa offers and have also studied pretty much thoroughly all the most interesting blogs in my niches there for getting some inspiration and ideas - and they all have plenty of colorful entertainment and celeb etc similar contents and images, and so on.
My question is how do they get this kind of content? Do they just go to some websites and copy the stories and images there....? (I doubt..) How do I get the contents they have; all that entertainment stuff, news and images and similar stuff? So many popular blogs and other sites seem to have like tons of this content and I've been wondering that HOW do they get this content legally.
This maybe a silly question but I'm a complete newbie with this stuff...
Thanks a lot in advance if anybody can help me!

Either create original content for this market yourself, or outsource the writing of articles to get this content.

You could also visit some blog owners and see if they would be willing to write guest blog articles for you in exchange for some free publicity.

Bottom line is - you need your own original content.

      Hi,

Thanks for the answer! BUT what about with the images..? I'm no photographer and certainly no paparazzi - so how do I get the images? I mean for example all the fashion blogs I've gone through in blogads.com fashion category seem to be made by pretty much "regular" persons (except perez hilton) - so how do they get the images then? I can write news stories based on information I get from anywhere online and offline but the images..... (for example celeb images) how do I get them? Are there some agencies etc to turn to?

        Kiara,

One way you could legitimately feature such content would be to set up an RSS reader on your blog and subscribe to the RSS feeds of your favorite celebrity/showbiz/news sites.

Intersperse that content with your own comments and throw in a few relevant YouTube vids and you should be on your way to having a funky-looking site.

Thanks for the answer I don't know anything about RSS feed....

How do I set up RSS reader to my site? When I subscribe to RSS feeds of other sites does it mean I then get regularly some new contents from these sites, like news and images etc? How often is this - is it like each time they add some new contents? Can I use this content in my site if I tell clearly where it comes from and put links....? Can I get images using this technique as well?
Interesting to learn new stuff... :p

As far as the images, look for press pages or press kits. Movie studios, TV networks and other online presences for celebrities often feature images that are designated for news use. In most cases, you'll still need to provide attribution to the images' owner in order to use them legally. This is as simple as a link at the bottom that says "Image courtesy of blah blah."

I don't know if you're going for a gossip style site like PerezHilton or TMZ, but those sites often have partnerships with other celebrity news sites. It is essentially a link exchange but can get you some extra traffic as your site grows. This doesn't necessarily have to be on your main page; Dlisted hides theirs on a "links" page. (warning: site often NSFW) Dlisted is also a good example of how you can link to stuff posted on other sites, as well as attributing images and sources.
