How much money did you make last month?

I wanted to create this post to motivate others to work harder, ask more questions, post more threads and buy more products. Feel free to explain how you did it.

The last thing a newbie needs is to buy more products. If you are already making some money you can afford to buy some prodcuts to learn more about business. But you don't want to motivate a nebiw to buy more products. Of course that will do good for the sellers but will it do good for the newbie?

And that is YOUR business how?

I paid all of my bills last month, from my online efforts, just as I have for the last 5-1/2 yrs. Do you really need to know more?

You have absolutely no right to ask this, and it is really pointless to ask because in many cases the doubting skeptics will then ask for screenshots to prove what you're saying is true, but that can be so easily faked. Next thing you know, they'll ask for a video of you logging into your account and then showing your balance there, but we now know even that can be faked quite easily, from what I understand.

So this is all really pointless, let's not even bring up the subject anymore.

I think the original poster actually had good intentions by starting this thread so try and keep that in mind.

Hearing stories of others successes and earnings does motivate some people to try harder - why else does nearly every sales page these days include screenshots and proof of earnings? Because that is what drives people.

Having said that, I don't think we need to talk exact figures. But people can definitely share any successes they have had and how they were able to achieve them.

Let's all take a deep breath...

Don't worry, no one's getting mad here. What would be more constructive in my opinion is to focus on the process and what they've done to achieve their success. All I'm saying is that we should de-emphasize the income part and instead focus more on the process that got them there.

Thanks WillR! It was all done with good intentions, I wasn't asking anyone to prove their incomes by bank statements or tax returns, etc. It's was just to share success stories! I wouldn't have made a lot of money in my life, if I didn't hear others were doing it or already done it. You're right Paul, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

The thing is that people will share what they want to share, when they want to share it.

It is like politics and religion. We aren't suppose to discuss those things in good company, nor are we supposed to ask people what they earn specifically.

My kids ask me all the time how much money I make. I tell them it is none of their business.

If the question were phrased differently, the response to your question would have been very different.

For example: If you paid your bills from your online earnings last month, would you care to share how you did it, or what you consider the secret to your success?

Honestly, you can get to the same end, by simply structuring your question in a different way.

And anyway, if someone doesn't want to share his/her income, there's no point in debating whether or not it should be done!

Stop focusing on other people. Focus on yourself.

How much money other people make doesn't make
a difference. And besides, one can easily lie about his
income here. So the answers given are even

Guys, this post wasn't to intended to expose anyone, nor meant to offend anyone. for your info (IM headlines) I 100% focused on myself, that's why I have Range Rovers, Maserati's, income properties, and my house full of Bang & Olufsen. And if you don't believe me, I'll send you proof. Posted all over this site are numbers being thrown around like crazy. We probably heard how much Frank Kern earned...didn't that excite you guys?! I could have phase the post a little different, but I didn't. I started from having $700 to my name, sleeping on my cousin couch to becoming a multi millionaire at age 26. Forgive me, I love hearing success stories.

FYI, I know many people that have NO problem sharing how much they make/made. They aren't bragging, they're just excited.

Bill I'm gonna stop curtsying to you if you don't stop telling everyone about the back handers.

It was impressed upon me that you should never tell others what you earn when I started out on piece work many years ago, bad manners and it makes others envious. When I started my first home business my mentor also impressed that upon me and for the same reasons. So I feel uncomfortable when others ask and would never give figures.

It's about what you earn not what others earn that's what's important and as long as you can answer more than last month you know you are heading in the right direction. So my answer is that every month this year I have made more than the last month and with the 3 As Amazon, Adsense and Advertising

          Hey WALTERJ7,

Question like this is a "BIG NO" in this forum as many people think that "it's none of your business?"..

I don't know how about others but I seriously think that post like this one is always being misinterpreted by many people as they don't share the same point of view with you.

However, maybe restructuring your question into something like

"What's your main business model and it's ROI last month?"

may attract a lot of people to give their input!!

Basically what we want from running a business is ROI (return on investment). The higher is the ROI, the more profitable is your business model and may attract people to ask more questions on how to improve their business' ROI or profits just like you.

Serious business people will regard IM as an investment where financial analysis such as ROI,profit margin, the types of income (passive, capital gain or both) that it can generate, average sales in term of quantity and break even point are very important for them.

Seriously, many people venturing into IM will skip this process as they either don't know the numbers or may have different approach to enter the IM world

(Slightly off topic here but I believe it's kinda related to the OP's post)

          My 2 cents..

PS: If you don't mind me asking, care to share with us about your business model?ROI? how you're improving it's revenue?

There is no need to brag here. But I never have to work for a boss....so I make a good living online.

But here are the most important facts for anyone online

    1) I made a pact with myself, that I will continue to do this, and sell info, membership sites as long as i am helping people.

    2) Will continue as long as i enjoy it.

    3) The most important is that I work hard, and get more of the results I am after.

This game is not easy, and was never meant to be. But if you have the smarts, and the drive, I am sure you will see many results.

    I hope this helps you.

Money is not everything, being happy and changing the lives of my clients for the better, that is what really drives me, and keeps me going.

The money is just an added benefit.

    Cheers.

If people don't want to share their earnings or success why even bother to post in the thread? Why not just click the back button and be on your way instead of jumping down the OP's throat and acting all high and mighty?

I made just less than $1,000AUD last month. Minus $9 for hosting and $1.25 for printing, that comes to just under $990AUD. How I did this?, providing an essay editing service and last month was the end of the university semester in Australia. I edit all essays myself.

Meh, I wasn't going to post, but I don't like when questions like this are asked and everyone refuses to answer. Notice that only people making under a thousand a month are posting their income here? That's not much of a motivational boost to someone new to IM that might be reading this.

Long story short, I made about $13,950 last month ... minus a hundred or so in expenses.

      Tee Hee...

I did say that I was making enough money online to pay my bills every month... And I certainly need a lot more than $1000 a month...

I know I am from Oklahoma, but our cost of living is no where near that low.

Call me sheltered and protected, but I hadn't actually realised, until reading this thread, that knowing which state you're from is a prerequisite to earning money online at all.

I'm more or less on the side of the people saying that those who don't like being asked should just not answer, rather than whinge. To imagine that it isn't legitimate, in a forum dedicated exclusively to making money, to invite people to chat about how much they're making, strikes me as bizarre. :p

I was paid just under $9,500 from Clickbank for October (and my other income wasn't worth talking about) but spent about $1,500 including some hosting renewal, buying some domain-names and (as every month) outsourcing some promotion of my existing sites. It looks like I'll get a bit less than that for November. I expect December to be lower again and January probably to be my best month yet. We'll see.

          No not at all.

My mention of Oklahoma had nothing to do with income, but cost of living.

The comment was simply a tongue-in-cheek poke about some people's pre-conceived notions about people from Oklahoma.

I lived in Florida for a short time. While living there -- true story, believe or not -- someone asked if I was really from Oklahoma.

          I said yes.

She said, "Oh, how did you get HERE?"

I was taken aback, but replied, "I drove."

          Get this....

She looked at me rather confused. Then she said, "Oh. So you stopped along the way and bought a car."

I still did not see it coming...

And it wasn't a joke. She was completely and totally serious!!

I told her, "No, I owned the car before I left Oklahoma."

She responded, "Are you serious? I thought all you people rode horses!"

Then she says, "What about the Indians?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

She said, "Well... Do they still chase people around shooting bows and arrows at them?"

It really seems like it SHOULD HAVE BEEN A JOKE... But it wasn't.

A lady I know online, smart as a whip. But she could not understand how I could live in Oklahoma with all those tornadoes.

I asked her what she meant.

She was literally of the understanding that there are thousands of tornadoes everyday in the State of Oklahoma.

She could not live like that she said.

A lot of people think we are backwoods and nothing but a bunch of dumb hicks, with the economic system of a third-world country.

People are just funny like that.

Yes I make money online. I make a living doing online stuff, and I have made a living exclusively from the Internet for 5-1/2 years. Some years were awesome. Most years, I still made more than both of my parents combined.

But I still make a living online.

Frame that any way you like. But I will still not put a number on my earnings.

It is higher than $1000 per month, and it is less than what you make.

If it is really important for you to know how much I earn online - exactly, then buy a copy of my credit report.

Oh, man, Bill - have I been there.

I'm from Virginia, and as a result I naturally have that hick redneck backwoods accent.

Most of you will never hear it, because I spent about two years learning how to speak without it, and it's become second nature.

Because no matter how smart you are... everybody thinks that with that accent, you must be stupid.

It doesn't matter how wrong it is, or how unfair it is, things like this are going to affect your business and your personal life whether you like it or not.

They have a point when saying that they don't want to post their earnings
            Not so much!!

They would have a point in simply not posting them.

Not in voluntarily taking the trouble to post in order to say that they don't want to post their earnings: that lends altogether new meaning to the word "gratuitous"!

Service, schmervice. I haven't taken on a new client for many, many months, Johnny (it's honestly better paid just writing for myself). I'm thinking of doing specifically and only some autoresponder email series for people, next year, because there seems - understandably - to be a genuine demand for this, and obviously at higher prices, but all I did in October was 2 or 3 long articles for a long-standing returning client, so only $200, if that. It's true I do buy the odd domain-name for $9-ish and sell it for $20/$30, sometimes, but that income just about pays for my hosting and internet connection, not for my shoes and car.

LOL. Why, why, why, why, WHY are so many women obsessed with shoes?!

Sounds like you two have a collection of considerable size.

What concerns me more isn't the amount you spend on purchasing the shoes, but the ongoing costs associated with storing them and keeping them in good condition.

But then I forget that that's only really half an issue, because 99% of the clothes and shoes you buy probably never see the light of day more than once anyway!

Actually, I rarely buy. I like LOOKING. Which is funny, because I hate shopping, ordinarily. I still have a pair of tennis shoes I bought when I was twelve - I wear them almost every day. They're the best pair of Skechers I ever purchased.

Plus, I don't buy the expensive ones. Very few are name brand. Skechers aside, I usually purchase the "need" shoes for less than $25 at Payless or something.

Oh, and yes, most of my shoes see the light of day, even if they are only seasonal. Not one pair still has the tags left on - and plenty have the soles worn in

This is a monstrously inaccurate assertion. Even the idea that you wear only 20% of your wardrobe 80% of the time is mere malicious propaganda, perpetuated by by those (men) overenthusiastic about the Pareto principle to the extent that they assume that women buy shoes they're not going to wear regularly. It's defamatory. It's even bordering on blasphemous.

                    Woooopsie; my bad!

(What kind of fish do you think that is? :confused

Seriously though, it might not appear as such a grossly inaccurate statistic if you were to learn of my mother's habits (and, to a slightly lesser extent, my auntie's), and to look at her multiple wardrobes, clothes-racks and her footwear collection.

She buys, buys and buys some more (admittedly, much of it from charity shops and the like - so fairly cheap), but nearly always finds something wrong with her purchases after she's worn them the first time!

Though you're right: it's probably not fair to assume most (or even many) women come anywhere close to being "as bad as she is", in that regard.

Myself, I have 2 pairs of boots, and that is it; one pair of Timberlands (used for "best") and one pair of Caterpillars (used for anything).

I unfortunately fall into that category. I probably have over 100 different shirts in my closet, many new with the tags still on them . . . and somehow only wear the same 8 shirts over and over again. I'm the same with shoes and accessories. I love shopping and buying stuff, but somehow after the initial purchase, most of the stuff I buy never actually makes it onto my body and instead ends up sitting in the closet collecting dust.

On another note, I love buying shoes because they ALWAYS fit. You never go into a shoe store and have to pick a few different sizes off the rack because you're not sure if you've gained weight, lost weight, or if the size of the shoe differs by manufacturer.

And to answer the OPs question: I made $65 last month from Amazon review sites, Adsense, and Clickbank combined . . . which actually equals out to only $15 profit since I pay $50/month for a VPS hosting account.

Sometimes I wonder if I am really a woman if I hear so many of them obsessed with shoes. I have three pair: one for daily wear, one I wear when we're renovating the house, too ugly to go outside with, and one dress pair for when I need to be looking good. I really can't see the enjoyment in having a whole collection.

Guess I have to blame my mom, she did make a mistake when she put me together LOL

Being an ex web designer, I understand what you mean completely. Offering services sucks, but it can bring in immediate income, if needed. I guess it has its place.

$9,500 for the month is really impressive. Honestly, kudos big time. I calculated my totals just recently and Im nowhere near that figure. I think on average Im at $900 per month, (thats my average) however I have had some great pay days $2,000+. The biggest issue Im faced with, and I assume many others too is consistency. Whilst I have great days where I make decent income, I might go a week without making anything. This is one area that Im really focusing on by launching more products/sites.

I believe you are currently promoting roughly 16 CB products, is this right? Im a vendor, I create all my own products, and Im up to my 4th site. I realised just recently that I had 15 sites and only 3 were earning - so I gave myself a kick in the pants and got started, either getting products in there or ditching the sites completely.

Id like to chat sometime maybe via PM if youre interested. Have a few questions Id like to ask. Your insight is something I really value. I can paypal you some $$$ for your time

I know what you mean. It's difficult, when you start, to envisage quite how big the fluctuations can be, and the fact that sometimes you never manage to attribute causation to them with any degree of confidence at all!

I hear you there. I got away with this, during my first 15 months or so, only by providing a service at the same time (writing articles and autoresponder emails, and even 2 Clickbank-style sales pages, one of which actually converted really well! ), until (a) I was ill and couldn't do it all any more and (b) fortunately, miraculously, my income was enough not to need to depend on it.

For the first 4 months I was "doing affiliate marketing", my writing-for-others income was about all I had.

Yes ... but recently I've bought some ready-made websites (for staggeringly low prices) and when they're up and working I'm going to fiddle with the content (add my own new articles, to make them (a) unique and (b) regularly updated), and then I'll actually be promoting about 22/23 CB products altogether.

(I've never bought ready-made sites before, but I see nothing wrong with the idea in principle and am looking forward to seeing how they go. One of them's in a really competitive niche which I've always thought I wouldn't touch, but I just fancied it on a whim, and am willing to give it a go, to see if I can find a totally non-competitive way of attracting some traffic to it ).

                  Thanks Alexa,
Probably no need to PM you at the moment. Youve answered most of my questions here, although I may still at some point. Once again, thanks for providing some invaluable answers.

                  Interestingly...

I just performed a rough calculation based upon your averages (which I believe are around $4,500 per month???) and if Im correct, in that you are promoting 16 products, (not sure if this equates to 16 sites though) and I have only 3 sites that are earners, I *should* be on the same earnings path as you. I guess you've been at this a little longer than me though.

Or perhaps, because you are a lot smarter -- you just "got the hang of it" quicker than I did.

BTW -- Im not as dumb as I look :p

I have 8 "money sites" (ok, 9 if you count the little one-page one in my sig-file, for which I'm not even building a list ), but haven't had them throughout the last 2 years (I started with 1, of course). I've had these for the last 8 months, though.

I had a combination of good luck and good product-selection skills (after the first 3 or 4 months, when I screwed up); this is what most of the difference is down to - nothing more complicated than that. And you have the edge on me (and a pretty big "edge"!) in technical skills - I don't even know how to use Wordpress.

What car if I may ask? Silly question, but I'm curious.

And to add to the post, I make just enough to afford food, bills (water, electric, gas and so forth), some nights out and debts that need paying off still.

Not enough to buy my dream car: Mazda rx8.

Not that I couldn't afford to buy it, but add the insurance and petrol consumption and my money would be left toast.

In urban roads it supposedly does 15-17 mpg, that's terrible, but I love the car and I needs it !

We'll see.
Before posting, or reading your post here Alexa, I went over to the front page and cut and pasted THIS: "Where We Talk About Making Money".

I think most people would rather not reveal their real incomes.

If my income is small, I wouldn't reveal how much I earned, because I'm ashamed of my small earnings compared to the other guys and gals here.

If my income is big, I wouldn't reveal how much I earned, because I might sound like a braggart. My friends and relatives might find out and borrow money from me.

The last time I told anyone in my family what I earned, I told my dad.

Within one week, I had received phone calls from five extended family members asking for a job.

Of course, none had the skills to do the required work, but it was believed that I should make an exception for family.

        Id like to comment on this;

        1. If you are making a small income that is not a bad thing. Why would you be ashamed of succeeding? At least you are achieving a specific level and willing to grow that.

        2. If you were making a ton of money that is not bragging. Someone asked you a specific question and you gave a specific answer. If someone takes offense to that then they have their own insecurities to deal with.

Going around and telling people what you make when it is unsolicited is bragging.

It's a bad question because even if people list a "number", you don't know if it's true. You don't know the cost of living in their locale or whether they can support themselves or not. Also, in some cultures the question is considered rude and intrusive and causes people to react negatively.

A better question is "Do you fully support yourself working in IM" or perhaps "how much do you need to earn in IM"?

Those who live with family or have a spouse paying some of the bills may be earning exactly what they need even though the amount may not be high.

For the next marketer who is totally self-supporting or financially responsible for his own family - it would take a higher IM income just to survive.

A very valid point. I live around DC and it's expensive here.

I did over 10k in profit last month and it's not enough for me to quit the day job.

Health insurance is expensive. My income has been improving but its still erratic at times. My income streams are not diversified enough either.

I'm still at the mercy of Google for a lot of revenue. If some of my domains we sand boxed or my PPC campaigns slapped I'd be out of luck.

I'll get there eventually but I agree that its a lot more than what you pulled in last month.

To imagine that it isn't legitimate, in a forum dedicated exclusively to making money, to invite people to chat about how much they're making, strikes me as bizarre. :p
Exactly my thoughts! I am mostly a lurker since many years, but I wanted to answer this. Its just mind boggling to see people get angry about a simple question that they can just choose not to answer!

Forgive me, I love hearing success stories.
Me too, especially those that are accompanied with some details of how it was achieved (hint to OP! ), even if it's just a general method like "affiliate marketing" or "Adsense".

I would rather not reveal how much I made last month, but to provide some inspiration for those wondering what is possible I can say that during my best month ever (so far) I had more than six-figures in profit from a single website, and more than $200k in total profits for the month.

My only technique is based on getting free traffic from Google. I have never sold or promoted any Internet Marketing products teaching people "how to make money online", but seeing how much some people make in this area I am seriously considering it!

About 70% of my profits have come from affiliate marketing and the rest from selling physical products. Nowadays I am almost entirely focused on affiliate marketing.

With good rankings my best converting affiliate website makes about $1200 per day from 500-600 free visitors from Google.

If I was to give one piece of advice it would be to try and promote the right products. It is often just as easy to sell something that pays an affiliate commission of $100 per sale as something that pays $10 per sale.

I would love to hear other people's success stories. It would be great to hear from anyone making good money from Adsense. I have been dabbling in this for a while now but I am still only making around $1500 per month from Adsense.

This is really refreshing to hear.

At times it can seem like internet marketing is a closed loop. People make money selling "how to make money online" products, that teach people to "how to make money online" by selling, well, "how to make money online" products.

    ebizman87, I love your reply!

It doesn't matter of you made $20, $200 or $2000, be proud of yourself, you had an idea, a product and you made a decision to sell it. it's all about the positive mindset you carry day in and day out. Be excited and don't quit, and stay away from the naysayers.

My model is that I pay attention to what can bring value to someone in sales. Help him/her make more money or service their clients better. Maybe you have to attend a seminar or study an up and coming industry, maybe you're already skilled at something already and you can share it with thousands (of course for a fee). If someone can make millions by teaching guys how to talk to women, you can sell anything.

Some stay away from buying or renting email list. I prefer them, I spend a lot on them and receive a nice ROI. I working on a master piece right now to gross me $2,000,000 in sales, with a $5,000 investment cost. I'll keep you guys posted.

      Hi StevenM (post #68),

Its just mind boggling to see people get angry about a simple question that they can just choose not to answer!
Come on...you've been lurking for years, you had a 6 figure-profit month from one website but your mind boggles at this?

The internet provides a platform for people to semi-anonymously unleash all of the demons that they have to keep bottled up in the real world without having to deal with the usual consequences of that real world.

Offline, almost every single law, system of restraint or recommended standard of behaviour is ultimately enforced with the threat of violence, therefore my mind would be boggling if people didn't behave in this way, particularly as they go through the initial stages of coming to terms with the delights of their new online globe-spanning soapbox.

Add to this all of the sneaky ways that true free speech and freedom of expression are suppressed and discouraged in the real world (and how it falls on deaf ears even when it's achieved) coupled with other factors such as the surreptitious rise of political-correctness and it's guilt-based 'enforcement', then it's no surprise to me to see that once people find an element of that freedom, they often use it to try and suppress the freedom of expression of others along with generally illogical and somewhat pointless behaviour.

Ironic? Yes. Surprising? Not to me.

By the way, congratulations on your success. I'm sure there are more like myself that would prefer you to lurk less and spill your guts more

      I'm referring to -

I think what the original author was trying to do was to come up with a ball park average what a person can earn online.so that some one can see whether this field is right for them or not and may be get inspired as well seeing some good income. i see nothing wrong with that.

money is infact is a motivator . you might love what you do you might love helping others heack you might even enjoy it but i highly doubt that any one here will give their info products totally free of charge unless you are some one like those volunteers that help out poor ppl in countries like Ethiopia etc...

so if you don't like giving exact figures why not give a ruff estimate of what you can earn using the process that you are currently using and if you do not want to give that info either then why not just refrain from posting rather than making fun of the original author of this post.

well that's what i think but then again who cares abt what i think lol

and for me i didn't earn that much since im just starting out i made about $175 all by freelance programming that not much but a start i guess

    cheers

Do to my honestly, I've helped people get high paying jobs or improve in their income. I can't count how many times, I had people come up to me and say "nice car, what do you do for a living, are they hiring, if I had an opportunity I could do that" We are here to help each other.

      ...

Every one of us DOES have that gift, that knack for something. . .. ... I think too many people here are led down cookie cutter curriculum that plateau's them quick because they aren't focusing on what they are truly good at and can monetize best (without knowing it yet). They just copy/paste the train of thought (pick product/write articles/spam/repeat), there is so much more to marketing and making money online, and the only time you'll start to bank big is once you pull yourself OUT of the traditional cookie cutters and into a real, creative, unique, value driven business that moves fast and strikes hard vs. chasing nickels and dimes for years.

I agree with everything you said, but I wanted to highlight the two paragraphs above.

I made decent money, albeit inconsistent money for my first year in business...

Things were going well, I was paying my bills, and then it went south!

I had to go get a job.

I did not give up, and I kept doing what I was doing, but then I began to diversify my revenue streams.

Within another year, I was smoking my day job with my online earnings, but the fear of a repeat kept my nose to the grindstone working a job and my business.

Finally, with more than 12 months of consistent revenue greater than I was earning from my job, I quit my job in March of 05. I haven't had one since.

I continued to diversify, and one of my domains had a hell of a run in 06 and 07. In those years, I topped 6-figures.

I am not doing anywhere near that now, but I am still earning my living online.

p.s. If I went into a convenience store or a local restaurant and was as glib about actual numbers as many people in this thread are, someone may overhear my bragging and roll me in the parking lot.

They could steal my wallet and my car, and then go to my house to take what they want, because "I can afford it."

The difference between a restaurant and the Internet is that information lives forever online, and anyone truly focused on you could find anything they want to know about you in a very short time.

If it is dangerous for me to walk around town flashing my cash, how would it be any less dangerous to do it here?

Yes, I know I am an asshole for continuing to participate in this thread without sharing real numbers, but people can be inspired by your story, even when they do not know all the details.

After trying unsuccessfully with IM for the past year and not making a penny, I recently became an Amazon Affiliate and received my first commission of $9.25 in October. Then in November, I received $35.01. Okay, it's no 'giant leap for Mankind', but it was no 'small step' for me.

      Happens to us all.

My income for November was about $100. The split on that was about $25 in product sales, $25 in affiliate sales, and $50 in AdSense.

Usually, my product sales are closer to the $500 range, and I get some client work done for another $500 or so. But this time of year is difficult for me, and I still don't have a viable solution for it. I've been having a really rough time lately and just plain didn't do much; didn't promote anything, didn't produce anything, didn't even mail my list, and my residual stuff is miniscule.

The missing step, as always, is taking action. I know a dozen different things I could do to improve my income, and I'm just not doing them. It's not a moral stance or some kind of business decision, I'm just depressed and morose and unproductive. That has to run its course, and then I'll get back on the horse and charge forward.

Interesting to read all of the comments. I've never hidden my income, nor the fact that I have 5 children, work as a vet tech, etc. I am an open book. HOWEVER, I do not think that my information is really relevant, nor will it help anyone in the forum.

People that join my team in my NWM company, if they ask, sure I tell them...they know almost everything about me anyway. People on a forum that are seeking knowledge, resources and advice do NOT care, nor need to know how much I make.

    Just my 2 cents

Discussing the amount that someone makes is pointless considering that if its an honest high number a bunch of people will just ask how they do it and it will become very annoying =P

Reminds me of Dan Crocks, Deadbeat program, I was looking at it yesterday, who makes like 25k a month. If you look at his sales page,

    Dan Brock's Deadbeat Millionaire

you would know that, that takes serious work lol. Trust me he worked hard to make it look like he doesn't work at all. These sales pages get a lot of gravity if you see on clickbank. That's just my opinion by the way.

"How much money did you make last month?" has been asked many times before on the forums, the answers are always the same and range from a couple of bucks per month to truly massive amounts. Trouble is you will always get people posting "fake" amounts and those earning good money will be questioned as to how they earned it. Such threads usually recieve a good deal of interest and this one of course will probably be no different to all the others, lets see how the post numbers grow on this one lol...

Really? Dam. I've been doing this all wrong.

Strange business sense you have though. You're on the biggest IM forum telling everyone, that you like to not only game Google and other search engines but your very own bread and butter, your potential customers, as well. I'm very pleased you're not trying to sell anything in your signature.

It sounds like David is talking from an AdSense perspective. It is widely taught that the "worse" (or less engaging) your content, the more eager visitors will be to leave your site through your ads.

There is some truth in it, I think, but it's not a particularly sound long-term strategy: throwing up intentionally crappy content isn't going to do you any favours in the long run as far as SEO is concerned, either.

Of course, as far as actually selling stuff goes, the crappy content is a total no-no. It isn't going to convince and convert anyone. And generating traffic is by no means "all about fooling the search engines", considering that there are a whole ton of other ways to generate traffic beyond SEO, too.

So all in all, whichever way you look at it, it's still pretty p*ss-poor advice, LOL.
