Celebrating My First ClickBank Sale

by DrMeg

OK, that took one year, but by golly-gee-whiz, I finally made a ClickBank sale!

Now before you all shake your heads in pity that it took me an entire year to make money online....that's not the case.

I started making Amazon commissions the first month I put a WP Blog up and I've been making commissions on other affiliate products and participated in a launch and made some money last summer and I've had two offline clients as well.

But that damn ClickBank was just not cooperating....until now!! Yeah, it can be done!

I just had to celebrate here...and thank all my fellow Warriors for all your good advice and encouragement. Now I must go scale up! Scale it up...more backlinks, more link wheels, more .........(down the rabbit hole she goes).

Good for you, I remember my first Clickbank sale, it was awesome. Now that you have made one sale don't go jump on some other product keep promoting that offer until you make more and more sales. I'm not sure who it was but I believe they recommended 1000 dollars then learn what you can do to make the process as automated as possible and move on to another product.

Oh, and get emails so you can follow up, it may not take as long to reach 1000.00 this way. To your continued success!

Thanks for the tips Dolores. You are right about not jumping to another project. That is precisely why it's taken me so long. I've put up too many sites and not hunkered down and just really maximized any one of them. So I'm going back and really bearing down on this promotion.n

When you said get emails do you mean from the sale or from the site or both?

Generally, I wouldn't stress too much about refunds. I guess it depends on which niche you're in. I have had dozens of sales and nobody has asked for a refund yet, knock on wood.

I think if you offer fast Support and make it easy for customers to reach you, you can probably handle nearly anything that comes up.

In the meantime, I liked this blog post about scaling up... it really hit home for me. If you have a product making on average $1 a day or more, it makes perfect sense:

Thanks and that's why I started the thread! Over the last year some of the most helpful threads for me when I'd be getting discouraged were threads where someone was celebrating a small success step in the right direction. Always spurs me on!

Your next hurdle if you live outside of the US is getting the cheque cashed..

Oh yeah, lots! But in a nutshell, don't buy big expensive courses (no offense Warriors selling big expensive courses), learn everything you can in the Warrior Forum and for investing in your educational dollars just get the WSO's that are offered here. I've learned probably more from WSOs and reading forum threads than any of the mega-bucks courses I invested in.

Also, pick a micro niche, and work it until it's profitable....don't sidetrack!! That's been my worst downfall was not sticking with one niche and product until it's super profitable....I'm now going back to this niche and really scaling it up. Then when it's making more sales (the CB product on that site) then I'll, as they say, "Rinse and Repeat" with my other niche blogs.

      Best of luck!

If I could go back and start over with what I know now I would really focus on one niche and promote just a few ClickBank products and really create a lot of content and backlinks to those sites. Find a good freebie to build a list in that niche and not get distracted by trying to make money in a lot of niches.

Since you've just started, do you know about CBengine.com? That is a really helpful site. Absolutely don't give up...Good Luck

      1. It was a 100% conversion....1 click....1 sale...! I am so scaling this up!

      2. I made another sale!!!!!!! On another product from another site and that was a 100% conversion too.

Hey everybody thanks so so much for your words of encouragement and congratulations and wisdom! I was thanking people for their comments but then.... my "Thanks" button disappeared! Support is checking it out...

I'm going to try to figure out the MultiQuote button.

I did find where the sale came from and it was an article on one of my sites. Soooooo, action plan....

      1. Add more content, like that content...on that site!
      2. Write an eZine Article about that topic with those keywords and with that link
      3. Make a HubPage
      4. Squidoo Lense
      5. More posts on that niche's forum I am signed up for
      6. Submit three other articles to Unique Article Wizard (I like this service)
      7. Ping, ping
      8. ...and last but not least....use my monthly backlinks to that article/post (the profitable one!)

      I've got work to do!!!
