Take a lesson from MediaTemple - How To Make Customers Happy!
I wanted to give you guys a short lesson on
something very cool, it's Customer Support
which is a vital part of all of our businesses,
and especially in hosting. I should know, I've
been a web host before, and being the support
person sucks.
BUT, If you treat your customers right, you can
love giving support, because they love you too...
Here's a quick example, I've been moving sites
over to MediaTemple lately, and I said a few
good things about the company on forums and
on twitter... And for that I got this e-mail:
Hey Caleb, We have been seeing all the great stuff you have been saying about us on various forums and twitter. We wanted to thank you for all the kind words, and give you a little something to say thank you. Please provide us with your shirt size and current address so we can send you some (mt) schwag. Thanks for being an awesome customer, |
think that I'll probably keep saying good things!
Anyways, I thought we all needed a quick lesson
in being awesome to our customers when they
give us recommendations
