Searching for a specific thread...

After 3 nights of searching I give up

A few months back I came across this thread that was basically a very well put together list of internet marketing/SEO related resources. I thought I subscribed to the thread but apparently not.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks warriors.

If it was SEO it might have been moved to the SEO forum.

That subscribe thing never seems to work for me either.

Here is what else you can do:

If you actually posted on the thread, you can search your posts during that time frame

If you thanked anyone on that post, you can see what posts you have thanked back in your profile.

Also for the future, you can use your user notes section to post links to threads you don't want to lose or quote some things you think might go poof.

I don't know the thread, but have you checked your list of subscriptions? It looks like I'm automatically subscribed to every thread I've ever posted to -- it's just that I don't get email notifications unless I set it for an individual thread.

I don't know if that's the default setting or not for everyone, but if you made a post in that thread it might be worth checking your subscription list (if you haven't already done that, in which case never mind ).

And if you remember someone who may have commented the thread - maybe they have a bizarre name or picture with color hair - you can search that users previous posts.

You could try stepping outside of the Warrior forum and use Google to search with.

If you can remember any words or phrases from that thread then add them to the following Google search:
    site:warriorforum.com

So for example you might try this search string:
site:warriorforum.com list "internet marketing" SEO resources

I tried the search just see what it would come up with, clicked a couple links and found this; maybe there'll be some useful tidbits there for you:
Top List of SEO Tools for webmasters and link builders | www.1UP-SEO.com

Good luck with your search, hopefully I've given you another chance to succeed with your search.

Zikes! Almost forgot to mention one of the ways that works for me to keep track of threads I visit on forums.

I use the 'create shortcut' add-on for Firefox. If I find a thread I'm interested in, all it takes is a quick right-click then 'create shortcut' and the shortcut is saved to my desktop.

Every so often I throw all the shortcuts into a folder. Doing it this way lets me sort the folder by date or I can just do a regular search for words in the title.
