Hey everyone,

I have finally listened to all the experts and started my journey into building a list.

So, I setup an Aweber account, setup a squeeze page through wordpress, made a free report and now I'm trying to drive traffic to the squeeze page to capture leads with a free report.

I will be writing 10 articles per day to drive traffic.

So my question is how do I setup the messages?

I mean there will be (hopefully) new subscribers everyday being added to the list. So, if I setup a series of messages to lets say go out on day 1, 3, 5, 7 and so on, a person who subscribes today vs. a person who subscribes tomorrow will receive those messages on different days.

OR

Do I wait until I have a certain amount of subscribers and then start an email series?

I hope my question is clear. If you need me to elaborate further let me know.

Thanks in advance,
Osman

    Hi Osman,

Set it up so that a subscriber gets a message on day 1, then on day 3, day 5, day 7, etc. Each subscriber will get the message on his or her 1st day, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and so on.

Periodically you'll be sending out messages to everyone, and they'll all get that one on the same day, but otherwise each list member will be on a different schedule - they'll get the series starting from the day they sign up.

Start on day 1 like you have a "monster" following.

    Perception becomes reality.

Amy's right. From the beginning, act as though you have a huge list. Set up at least 10 or so autoresponder follow-ups to go out on a schedule like you mentioned. I like sending every 2-3 days, but it's up to you and you should test how different intervals affect your sales and unsub rates. That's important.

Remember that you can send out broadcast emails that go to everyone on your list - regardless of when they signed up. I typically use the follow-up queue for relationship building emails (the ones that are just giving away good info, not making sales pitches). And then I use broadcasts for sales pitches.

Here's another tip if you plan to sell your own products or services...

Set up 2 lists. One is for prospects who are not buyers yet. The other is to move prospects to when they buy something from you. Now you can avoid sending people who have bought your product the sales pitch emails over and over. It's just more professional and maintains a better relationship with your members. It'll cut down on unsubs, too.

      Hi John,
Can you advise on how you set up that second list? I use Aweber, but I am new at this. So how do you identify the buyers and how do you move them to a new list? Thanks
