I'm new, how long should I do 'IT' for?

We all use forums as a resource and to find answers, but also as a form of marketing ... so how long do you recommend spending on forum marketing within the Warrior Forum? (on a daily basis)

How long do you spend on the Warrior Forum each day?
#for beginners #forum marketing #long #marketing a service

I don't recommend you spend any time "on forum marketing within the Warrior Forum". At least, not to start with.

Use the Warrior Forum as a resource for learning. A place to learn all there is to learn about IM. A place to socialise and meet people. Only then will you be able to start "forum marketing".

Most established members won't be interested in what you have to offer until they have got to know you and you have proved you are a valuable member of the community. Take your marketing hat off and put your sociable hat on.

Yip, most guys here are in the same game as you, so know that you are marketing something they could just get themselves.

I would recommend being as efficient as possible with your time. Don't spend all day here. Get in here, accomplish your goals for being here, then leave and do what you need to do.

In terms of how much time you should spend - it all depends on what your priorities are. I probably spend about 30 minutes here daily, get my daily dose, and then go out and act. That's what I would recommend (with the amount of time up to you to determine).

Having been on the forum a bit longer now this reply seems like the best advice.

I agree. Know your priorities. Get other tasks done also and use forum as to how much you could gain from it. Mostly, one can do marketing in here and receive many more benefits too.

I regularly visit this forum and read as many threads as I can to get new and brilliant ideas.

If you understand and experience the purpose of Forums you wouldn't have asked this question. Just think, whether the forum serves your purpose of being on the forum or not. If it does, then you will automatically dig further. That's it.

Which is why I asked the question! What a ridiculous reply... hmmmm ... thanks but thats why questions get asked ... to get answers ... not riddles!

I think signature marketing is a good idea though, but try other forms because even though it may be highly targeted, the volume will be low. You might have to forsake roi for volume.

I recommend separating the ideas of marketing and participation in your own mind. There are sections of the forum specifically for marketing, and they should be used by anyone with a quality product or service.

If you're going to post longer pieces that look like articles, do them in your blog. Actual articles can go in (ta da!) the article section. The full-blown commercial sections are obvious. And, of course, your profile and signature.

Keep your efforts in the discussion sections strictly focused on discussion. That's the purpose of those areas, and it's a good way to develop a reputation, which carries a lot of weight when people are considering your marketing efforts. It's not just polite, it's profitable.

How much time? That will vary. I don't recommend spending too much time in discussions every day. Read what looks like it applies and will be useful, answer questions where you think you can be of help, and get back to the marketing end of things. That way, you get useful results from the time spent here, and you don't create the impression of a bull in a china shop.

Unless you're specifically running offers here, I'd not recommend spending time here mainly for marketing purposes. Use this forum as a resource for learning and keeping updated about the IM marketplace, and in addition to that it's a great place to build relationships and find JV partners, i.e. networking.

I made this mistake at first, I used Warrior Forum to 'hang around' bought every WSO going and never put in any action. I am rarely online now on warrior as I have too much work piling up on my desk. Which is a good thing

    Too damn long.

    What are you goals?

Looking to learn and absorb information?

Take as long as you need. Read, soak it all up. Learn the different nuances of internet marketing. Get opinions and see what appeals to you. Then (cliche' alert) take action.

    Trying to sell something?

Grab a cot and move in with the rest of the board jockeys. Make a name for yourself and big things may happen.

This forum or any other is what you make of it.

If you're not using the forum to make money or to learn... get back to work.

You're not going to make a dime being a chatty cathy. Get in and out... an hours tops. Once you've set-up your passive income machine, you can kill the boredom yacking away and wasting time in forums if that's what floats your boat.

So let it be written, so let it be done.

Definitely depends on your business plan.

If this is your only source of traffic, then I think you should find other avenues of getting it to diversify the flow. Content syndication being chief among the methods I'd recommend.

If you're using this forum and your signature as your primary vehicle of traffic, then you have to understand that it can very easily become a noise outlet.

        Example:

Right now it's 3:55AM my time, and there's exactly 599 people currently viewing this main marketing discussion forum.

On this thread alone, there are 15 responses and all but 4 of them have links with calls to action in their signature, but since I started typing this response this thread itself has had 39 more views and 16 other threads have received a new reply, pushing this thread further down the listing.

See how busy it can get so quickly? And who are you marketing to, anyway? Hopefully not one of those 39 people who's likely already reading another post by now, presumably one of the 16 that is now at the top of the forum.

End note: I wouldn't rely on that as a primary traffic source, but it CAN drive traffic.

Thanks for the advice, I note you were on the forum at 3.55AM, isn't that taking this forum thing a bit far?

Were you up late or up early?
