Domain Redemption Period

I'm interested in snagging a domain that's in redemption period right now. I checked with GoDaddy and it just says it's not available both to register or to buy from auction. Is there any way to tell when it will be released, or any way I can secure it? Or any way to tell if someone else has reserved/secured it so I don't waste time on it? Here's the info:

      I'm looking at one that is:

      Name Server: NS75.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
      Status: redemptionPeriod
      Updated Date: 08-apr-2011
      Creation Date: 25-feb-2005
      Expiration Date: 25-feb-2011

      Over 2 months redemption period! what is going on with this one?

      Backordering is $70 on GDaddy. I think I'd rather get the hyphenated domain version.
